Scene 1: Company
Michelle: (Angry.) You almost killed my husband, and I want to know why. (He's Ben--he doesn't need a reason.)
Ben: I didn't do anything to your--
Michelle: Dammit, Ben, tell me why! Now!
Ben: Why I do things? You want to know why I do things? Sometimes I do them just because I feel like them. Now why don't you be a good little wife and go home and tuck your little husband in?
Michelle: (Grabbing a knife off a table and putting it up against Ben's throat.) You know what? You seem to have all the answers so why don't you give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now! (Because you're in a crowded restaurant? I don't know, just a thought.)
Drew: (Coming over.) Oh my God, Michelle! Michelle, what are you doing? (What does it look like she's doing? She's holding a knife to your dear Daddy's throat. Duh.)
Ben: Back away, Drew. This is not important.
Michelle: You don't want her to know? You don't want her to know what her dear little daddy's been up to?
Drew: Michelle! Put the knife down!
Michelle: Ruining Bill Lewis' life!
Ben: I don't want to get stabbed by a lunatic... (At least, I think that's what he said.)
Michelle: How about seducing Carmen Santos' daughter? (How did she know about that? She must be psychic...cool.)
Drew: What?
Michelle: You almost killed Danny! That's your father, Drew!
The Light
Drew: (Soothingly.) Just calm down, Michelle. What you're saying isn't true.
Michelle: You went to the doctor that treated him? (Huh?) If it hadn't been for Rick, Danny would've died. (Actually, you were the one who gave him the half-assed CPR, so technically, if it hadn't been for you, Danny would've died.)
Buzz: (Walking over.) Give me the knife.
Michelle: No! (My God, Joie Lenz is very convincing at acting like she's temporarily psychotic. :) )
Ben: It's okay.
Drew: Please, Michelle. What--what--alright, when did this happen?
Michelle: Halloween night. He have Teresa some drugs to seduce Danny, and I guess killing him would've been an extra bonus, Ben? (Danny walks in here, but we don't see him actually come in. Ben looks over head and he see's him though.)
Danny: Michelle. (Boy, did he sound sexy there or what?! Anyways, Michelle slowly turns her head around--looking very crazy, IMO--and just stares at Danny.)
Scene 2: Company
Michelle: (Slamming the knife down on a table.) Dammit, I want him dead! (Runs out of Company. Danny walks up to Ben, looks at him for a few seconds, and then goes after Michelle.)
Danny: Hey. Hold on. What--what the hell went on in there, huh?
Michelle: I don't even know what I was doing.
Danny: Wait a minute. Hold on. Is it true?
Michelle: What? What? I don't even know what I was saying.
Danny: Is it true what you said in there...
Michelle: I don't know.
Danny: ...that Ben is the one that drugged me? Is it true, Michelle?
Michelle: Yes! Yes! He gave Teresa the drugs.
Danny: See, I knew, I knew it wasn't all Teresa's idea.
Michelle: (Realisation hitting her over the head with a big stick.) I just had a knife to someone's throat! Oh my God!
Danny: Michelle, why didn't you tell me about this before, huh?
Michelle: I couldn't.
Danny: Why not?
Michelle: Because I love you and I dont't want...I don't want to risk losing you.
Danny: How's that going to be a risk?
Michelle: Because if you found out what was going on, you would've gone after Ben and we'd be sucked back in and we'd be at square one, right?
Danny: Now you're going after Ben yourself. We're still in this.
Michelle: (Sounding as if she's going to cry.) No, we're not. We're out of it. (Danny turns around and look in the window at Ben.) Danny, what are you doing? What are you going to do?
Danny: (Softly.) It's okay. I'm going to take care of Ben.
Michelle: You can't!
Danny: (Very sternly.) Michelle, you leave Ben to me.
Scene 3: Outside of Company
Michelle: Danny, please, let's just go home. Please, let this go. Please. (They turn to leave just as Drew and Ben walk outside.)
Danny: (Getting right up in Ben's face.) Hey. I want to talk to you.
Scene 4: Outside of Company
Drew: Back off of Ben, Michelle.
Michelle: Did you hear anything that I told you, Drew?
Drew: I heard it all. And I also hear the real story.
Michelle: He's got you already?
Drew: It takes a little common sense. (Which you have none of...oh, wait--that's me. Hmm...) You know, he has no reason to drug Danny.
Michelle: Teresa admitted it!
Drew: Oh, you believe that girl? (Oh, you believe Ben? That's not much better!) I cannot believe you. How many times did I tell you she's nothing but trouble?
Michelle: Alright, maybe I should've listened to you, but you know what? She had help.
Drew: Help? (Yes, help. I know it's a big word, but...) After she gets caught red-handed, right? She said that? Come on.
Michelle: Drew, listen to me! I'm sorry. Maybe I should've listened to you, I was wrong. But you'd be just as wrong not to listen to me about Ben!
Drew: (Slow and steady.) This is my father.
Michelle: This is Ben Warren! (She has a point, Drew.) I don't know how many times you have to hear that before you get it! (Silence. Then Ben speaks up.)
Ben: Your wife has a violent streak. (No, really, ya think? That's not the first time she's pulled a knife on somebody.)
Danny: Michelle, why would Ben go to all that trouble just to hurt me, huh?
Ben: Exactly.
Danny: Unless he's threatened by me.
Ben: Exactly. Why would I go to all that trouble?
Danny: Maybe you've got a death wish.
Ben: Is that a threat? (It kinda sounded that way.)
Danny: (Doing the little smile thing. Oh, come on you know what I'm talking about! The smile where he's trying not to, but he can't help himself. Usually when he's in full protection mode or threatening someone. Ah, yes...now you know what I'm talking about.) Ben, I don't have to threaten you. I just have to sit back and watch. At the rate you're going, you're going to hang yourself.
Scene 5: Outside of Company
Michelle: You know, Ben, if you've got Michelle coming after you with a knife, I can only imagine what the rest of this town must be dying to do. (Another good point...)
Ben: Hmm. (Actually it was more a snort, but what was i supposed to put--"Snort."?? No. We're going to settle on "Hmm.")
Danny: You push the wrong person, they're going to push back alot harder.
Ben: You?
Danny: (Doing the sexy smile thing again.) It doesn't have to be me. I'm sure very soon you'll have half this town after you. (I thought half of the town was already after him. Actually, I thought it was the whole town.) I'll get to sit back and enjoy the show. Drew, it's just a matter of time. Just a matter of time. Let's go. (He and Michelle walk away and Ben and Drew hug. I really liked Drew until this episode, now she's on my list of people I wish would disappear off the face of the earth--right after Peeelargh and Hoochie.)
