Scene 1: Drew's Apartment

(Drew answers the door and Michelle is there.)

Michelle: Pizza!
Drew: Hi.
Michelle: Hi. (They hug.) What's going on? How are you?
Drew: Hi, Michelle. You're back. (No, you see, she's actually a figment of your imagination. She's not really there. I swear it.)
Michelle: Yes, I'm definitely back. (No, no, no. Repeat after me: I am a figment of your imagination.) Got back this morning, actually.
Drew: How was it?
Michelle: It was fabulous. I mean, it was beautiful. It was hot, warm, and paradise. It was just...
Drew: Paradise. What was the name of it again?
Michelle: San Cristobel. And it was...it was so great to be with Danny and not have to worry about all of our problems and all of our families, and just be together. I mean, you know what these past few months have been like for me. (Yeah, you know, almost being blown up at church, being kidnapped by your brother, getting locked up in the looney bin, facing a firing squad...I'd say that these have been a hard couple of months...)
Drew: Yeah, I do.
Michelle: Yeah, you do. You got alot going on with this guy, Max, and with Jesse and Selena. My goodness...
Drew: Yeah, well...what's--what's in the bag? (Points to a bag that Michelle is holding.)
Michelle: The bad. This is something that just had your name all over it.
Drew: My name. (Yes, your name.)
Michelle: It was screaming at me "Drew!" from the grocery. Well, yeah.
Drew: Well, let's see how much you value our friendship. (Pulls this God-awful shirt out of the bag.) Are you kidding me? What is this? (Supposedly a shirt. I beg to differ. Anyways, they're both laughing.)
Michelle: Try it on. Come on, come on, come on. It's a little shirt with some little khaki shorts. Like, tell me. (See's the engagement ring on Drew's finger and stops laughing all of a sudden.) Oh my God. This is...this is new.
Drew: Yes. (Oh, come on. That's all you can say?)
Michelle: This is definitely new.
Drew: Yes, he...he asked me to marry him. (Well, no shit, really?)
Michelle: Oh my God. I'm so happy for you. (Hugs her.) Great.
Drew: (With very little enthusiasm.) Yeah.
Michelle: This is great. What...what...what is that? What's going on? What does that mean? (Drew picks up a picture of Max and stares at it.) Listen, Max is back, right? Drew? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. When we talked, he had just left. I mean, I thought he was going to be back by now for sure.
Drew: It's okay. Everyone thought so.
Michelle: I don't understand this. Well, listen, if it makes you feel any better, I ran away when I was a little kid. Pretty much everybody does. They come back within a couple of hours or a couple of days.
Drew: Not Max. He hasn't come home (Yeah, when someone runs away, they tend to stay away from home...), he hasn't called. I have a funny feeling I'm never going to see him again.

Scene 2: Lewis House

(Josh answers the door and Danny is there.)

Danny: Josh, hey. I got a message you called. They said it was urgent.
Josh: Thank you for coming.
Danny: Uh, is everything alright? Edmund said that your arrest was all a misunderstanding.
Josh: That's what he told you?
Danny: Yeah. Edmund's a really good friend of mine, and when you and Reva were arrested, we asked him to look into it and he said that the two of you were on a plane home.
Josh: I see. Well, your good friend, Edmund, is a liar.
Danny: Why do you say that
Josh: Because he forced me to get on a plane. They deported me from San Cristobel, and Reva's still there. They won't let her go.
Danny: Well, that's weird, because Edmund told me he personally escorted you and Reva to the plane. Can I use your phone? I want to call him and find out what's going on.
Josh: You know what, that's not going to help.
Danny: What? (Or maybe he said "Why?"...I don't know. It sounded like "What?" to me, though.)
Josh: Because she's being held at the palace by the royal family.
Danny: Why?
Josh: They claimed she kidnapped a cchild. They've charged her with treason.
Danny: Treason?
Josh: Yeah.
Danny: Have you contacted the state department? Maybe they can do something.
Josh: No, they can't. It's out of their control. There's only one chance I have to get her out of there. Olivia called me.
Danny: Olivia? Why would Richard's fiancee call you?
Josh: I haven't the faintest idea, but she offered to help me sneak Reva out of the palace.
Danny: Josh, you've been deported. You can't go back there.
Josh: Yeah, well, that's where you come in. I need you to help me get my wife.

Scene 3: Drew's Apartment

(Michelle is standing by the door and points to something on it.)

Michelle: Listen, what--what is this? Is this new?
Drew: No. Actually, my dad gave it to me. Well, he was going to send it to me before he died.
Michelle: Yeah?
Drew: Yeah.
Michelle: Well, what is it exactly?
Drew: It is a mezzuzah. (I think I spelled that right. I'm Episcopalian, not Jewish, so forgive me if it's spelled wrong.) It's a Jewish tradition. They hang them on the doors, and it's supposed to...I don't know. But my dad sent it to me with a note saying "Don't forget who you are." And I'm not, so I just figured I would hang this up and, you know, maybe this place will feel more like home for me and Max.
Michelle: Hmm. Drew, Max is going to come home. And you know what? I shouldn't have compared him to the other kids that run away because he's smart. He is a smart kid, and he can take care of himself if he needs to. He really can. (God, Michelle, you really suck at trying to make someone feel better...)
Drew: Yeah, well, that's exactly what I'm afraid of, you know? I mean, he doesn't need me. He doesn't care about me. Why would he come home to me?
Michelle: Are you kidding me? Drew, you're all he's got. Whether it's flesh and blood or not. He knows that you care about him. I know that he misses you.
Drew: Thank you.
Michelle: You're welcome.
Drew: But you know what? Enough about me and my drama and my life.
Michelle: Wait a second, wait a second. I want to know about this little...this little ring and engagement matter.
Drew: What, you want to know?
Michelle: Details.
Drew: (Screeching. I like Drew, I really do. I just can't stand her screeching!) It's a dream come true! That's what it is.
Michelle: I know it is. I know. I should know that bettwe than anyone.
Drew: He's great, and he's great. (Is that the only thing you can think of?) He is. He's--he's stuck by me and put up with alot, because I always go off on him, you know.
Michelle: I know.
Drew: And he doesn't give up on me.
Michelle: This is so great!
Drew: What?
Michelle: I'm so happy. This is great and it's so weird how it worked out. I mean, after everything that we've been through, and we both end up with the right guy. (Let's see, Michelle got Danny and Drew got Jesse...Boy, do I feel sorry for Drew! Michelle definitely got the better end of the deal!)
Drew: Yes. Yes, we did.
Michelle: Yes. It's a good thing.
Drew: Yes.
Michelle: So when's this wedding?
Drew: The wedding.
Michelle: Yes.
Drew: Well, we're not going to rush into anything.
Michelle: Are you kidding me? I would've sworn that you would've had this dress picked out, and hemmed and fitted and pressed.
Drew: Yeah, but, I just--I really want to find Max before I even think about that.
Michelle: Yeah. Yeah, of course. So, uh...
Drew: So...so give me a preview.
Michelle: A--a preview of?
Drew: About weddings. You know, honeymoons, and what's it like?
Michelle: It's wonderful. It's--it's so great to be with--be with someone in the way I've only dreamed about, you know? I mean, to feel completely connected to him, you know?
Drew: You look happy. (Oh, come on. Who wouldn't be happy married to Danny?!)
Michelle: I am. I'm very happy. I am. (Well, duh! Of course you are!)
Drew: You have someone who understands you, and who obviously loves every little thing about you.
Michelle: (Giggles.) Well, it sounds like you and Jesse. It does. (Stop bringing up Jesse! I'm trying to get that...that...thing out of my head!)
Drew: Hey, you know? We're not talking about me. (And thank God for that.) We're talking about your lovelife.
Michelle: Okay.
Drew: So tell me about the island of paradise or whatever.
Michelle: Oh, the island was fabulous, with the warm water and the hot sun and the...(Her voice gets different here and you can tell that she's "reliving" those nights in her mind. The nights that we didn't see!!!) hot nights. It was...
Drew: Ooh...the hot nights.
Michelle: With the man I love. It was great.
Drew: What were you guys doing? Acting like tourists for the first few days? Did you wear the same flowered shirts and walk around with cameras around your necks?
Michelle: (Laughing.) Of course not. No. No matching shirts. Absolutely not. But we did take some pictures and we went sight-seeing and...oh, take a wild guess who we ran into?
Drew: Who? (No, but that's a good guess!)
Michelle: Josh and Reva.
Drew: Wow.
Michelle: How weird is that?
Drew: It's a small world.
Michelle: I'll tell you. They got into some trouble with the authorities there. I don't know what happened, but I think they got everything resolved. I mean, at least now they're home and they're safe.

Scene 4: Lewis House

Josh: You don't know Reva very well, but she's one of a kind. And there's alot of people in this town who love her very much, including your wife. Including my children. You see, I don't know what they would do without her. (Well, they seem to be doing just fine without her right now.) I don't know what I would do without her, and I'm not going to lose her again. Not now. I realise that I have no right to ask you this, but I'm begging you to help me. You just don't know what it's like to lose--
Danny: Actually, I know exactly what it's like. My family has a private airstrip that we use to transport thing. You got a problem with that?
Josh: Things? The kind of things that fall off a truck, right? (Way to be discreet, Josh!)
Danny: Something like that.
Josh: No, I don't have a problem with that. Will I have access to a plane?
Danny: That's right.
Josh: Okay. What about the pilot? What do I tell him?
Danny: You've told him everything he needs to know. I'm going to fly you in.

Scene 5: Drew's Apartment

(They're standing in the so-called kitchen, and Michelle's putting a cup in the sink.)

Michelle: Ah, thank you.
Drew: You're welcome.
Michelle: well, I should probably get going.
Drew: Thank you for coming and thank you for the present.
Michelle: Yeah, well, only you could wear that and pull it off. (True, true. No one dresses as tacky as Drew. Hey, cool...that rhymed...)
Drew: I'll see you again, right? (No, never again.)
Michelle: Yeah.
Drew: Soon?
Michelle: Yeah, yeah. What do you think about the four of us hanging out? Maybe? (Oh, what a great idea--NOT! That would be a bit awkward don't you think? Hanging out with your ex-boyfriend, your husband, and your so-called best friend. Not to mention that your husband slept with your so-called best friend. I just don't see that happening.)
Drew: What? You, me, Danny, and Jesse?
Michelle: Yeah, I mean, stranger things have happened...I think.
Drew: I don't know. Maybe. We'll see.
Michelle: Okay, alright. I'll see you--Oh my gosh! You--you can't marry Jesse!
Drew: Why?
Michelle: You can't.
Drew: Why?
Michelle: Drew Blue. Drew Blue. (I'm so glad that someone finally pointed that out!)
Drew: (Both of them start laughing.) Oh, shut up! I'm getting used to it, okay? I happen to like it so why don't you go find your husband? What has it been, two hours?
Michelle: (Stops laughing.) Listen...
Drew: What?
Michelle: I just want to say that I know things are going to work out with Max. They are.
Drew: If I can find him, and talk to him, they will.
Michelle: You will. You will. Because you know what? Everything's coming together for you, alright? I mean, pieces are falling into place, and I just really think it's about time. I'll see you later.
Drew: Bye.
Michelle: (Turns around and bumps into a lady.) Oh, sorry.
Lady: Excuse me. I'd like to speak to Drew Jacobs. (Michelle points to Drew. Michelle takes out her cell phone as the lady explains that she's there to check up on Max.)

Scene 6: Lewis House

(Danny's drawing on a piece of paper. I think he's drawing a map of the palace or something. And he's a leftie! I love lefties!)

Danny: Okay, see, the airstrip is not far from the palace and I know the entryway that Olivia mentioned and if she is to be trusted, that entry should be less guarded than the others. Okay?
Josh: If she is to be trusted.
Danny: Yeah. I need to get going. I need to go home and tell Michelle I'm leaving, and I'll be back in...well, I'll call you when we're ready to go. We need to time this so we fly in at night.
Josh: Okay, listen, I think it's best if we keep this as quiet as possible. Including from Michelle, okay? (Alright, so he can't tell Michelle, but you tell Cassie. Let's see, wife...sister-in-law...wife...sister-in-law...hmm, think about this Josh. If you can tell her, Danny can tell Michelle.)
Danny: (Thinks about it for a second.) Okay.
Josh: I owe you. Thank you. (Danny leaves.)
