Scene 1: Jewelry Store
Danny: Michelle...
Michelle: Uh-huh?
Danny: Now how is it with all the things to do on this island, we end up at this jewelry store?
Michelle: Why? Are you afraid I'm going to buy something really, really expensive? (Oh, come on, he could afford to buy you that whole store if he really wanted to!)
Danny: No, and you know it. This is where Reva left her ring.
Michelle: (Pretending to be surprised) This is the same place?
Danny: Yes, smarty pants.
Michelle: (Looks at the receipt.) Y'know, look at this. I had no idea. What a coincidence.
Danny: What a coincidence...
Michelle: Are you mad at me?
Danny: Oh now how could I ever be mad at you?
Michelle: I'm sorry. It was a little--
Danny: Cloying? Deceitful? Manipulative?
Michelle: You're mad.
Danny: No. I know that you've had this ring on your mind every minute.
Michelle: Well, not every minute.
Danny: You sure?
Michelle: Mm-hmm. (A quick kiss) Besides, I'm just so happy, I want Reva to be happy, too, y'know?
Danny: And she really has to get her ring back?
Michelle: She does have to get her ring back. It's important to her. She seemed really upset. And if it has anything to do with the fact that they were arrested, I think it's pretty important.
Danny: I'm sure Edmund has straightened that out.
Michelle: Well, how do you know? What if he hasn't?
Danny: (Clearly frustrated) Michelle, he's a prince. It doesn't get much higher than that.
Michelle: I don't know. Still, I think that it's just--
Danny: Would you stop? Please? They're probably out on a beach somewhere getting a tan. There's no reason at all to worry about them.
Scene 2: Jewelry Store
Danny: (Holding up a pearl necklace) How about these?
Michelle: What do you think?
Danny: Why don't you try them on? (Puts necklace on Michelle)
Michelle: Y'know Reva gave me a pain that was kind of like this for my graduation.
Danny: Michelle. Stop it.
Michelle: I'm sorry.
Danny: Stop it.
Michelle: I'm sorry. I just--why hasn't Edmund called to at least tell us they're okay?
Danny: I'm sure he's got other things to do. He is running a country. I'm sure calling us back first in not on the top of his list.
Michelle: But you know what? He's a prince so he's probably got people to do his calling for him. Don't you think he could have had someone call us and let us know? It's been a whole day, Danny.
Danny: (Sighs) Michelle, you are making me crazy. They're probably out right now, enjoying the weather, maybe skinny-dipping, which is what we should be doing right now.
Michelle: I know, I promise we will. I promise. As soon as I get this ring.
Danny: Ok, alright, let's do it. Just do it.
Jeweler: Those pearls look stunning on you.
Michelle: Oh thank you. Unfortunately, I'm not actually here to buy anything today. We are here to pick something up. Here's the receipt. Sorry it's crumpled.
Jeweler: I see.
Michelle: My friend, Reva, actually just dropped it off. (Danny takes necklace off of Michelle.) Thank you, darling. Um, is there a problem?
Jeweler: No, not at all. Um, I have it right here. (Sets a God-awful bracelet down on the counter.) Here you go.
Michelle: No, no, I'm sorry. This can't be it.
Jeweler: Excuse me?
Michelle: Oh, this is a bracelet. And I've come to pick up a ring. It should say it on there. It's a ring. Um, so there must be some mistake.
Jeweler: No mistake. This is what the receipt is for.
Michelle: Ok, could you check again for me please?
Jeweler: No need to check again. This is what the receipt is for,
Michelle: Ok, I don't know what's going on. I don't know what you're trying to pull her but that receipt--
Danny: Michelle, Michelle, are you sure?
Michelle: Yes, I'm sure. That's a costume piece. Look at it. Why would Reva leave someting like that at a jewelry store?
Jeweler: I believe she was having it resized.
Michelle: Ok, so then you're not sure, right?
Jeweler: I'm very sure, Ma'am. Now if we've concluded our business. Good day. (Walks away)
Michelle: Well, we haven't--Excuse me!?
Danny: Hey stop it. Stop it! You're not going to get anything out of him.
Michelle: How do you know?
Danny: Did you see his face? He shut down as soon as he saw that receipt. I told you!
Michelle: Hey relax, alright? Look I don't know what's going on, but something's not right.
Danny: Come on.
Michelle: Where? Where?
Danny: The palace. To find out what the hell is going on!
Scene 3: Palace
Danny: Edmund! Edmund! (To guard) We have permission to see him. Excuse us, please. (Opens the door.)
Edmund: Hello! Look who's here.
Danny: Well it wasn't easy, let me tell you.
Edmund: Yes, I know. The security around here can be very...secure.
Danny: Look, we're really sorry to barge in here like this.
Michelle: I'm sorry, I hope we're not interrupting anything.
Edmund: No, not at all. But I thought you two would be out dancing under the stars somewhere. Enjoying your honeymoon.
Danny: Well yeah, so did we, but Michelle's been upset because we didn't hear from you about Josh and Reva.
Edmund: Ah, that's what all this is about.
Michelle: Well it's just that you said you were going to take care of them and then give us a call when you heard anything so...
Edmund: That's right, I did.
Michelle: Well...where are they?
Edmund: I didn't want to disturb you. I thought I was doing you a favor, but I didn't realise how worried you were.
Michelle: Well are they okay?
Edmund: Oh they're perfectly alright. It was just big misunderstanding about a ring.
Michelle: A ring that doesn't even exist.
Edmund: Excuse me?
Danny: Yeah well we went to the jewelers to get the ring for Reva and the jeweler says there is no ring at all.
Edmund: It was returned to it's rightful owner. That's what Mrs. Lewis requested.
Michelle: Well why did the jeweler lie to us about it then?
Edmund: Oh! I asked him to keep quiet about the incident. He obviously did a very good job of it.
Michelle: Oh, obviously...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to barge in. I-I was just worried.
Edmund: No, no. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Except this one, of course, and he can be a very big worry indeed.
Danny: Come on. As long as Michelle is happy, I'm happy.
Michelle: Yeah. I'm sorry. Would you mind if I asked you just one more favor?
Edmund: Only one?
Michelle: Can I use your phone? I just...I want to call Josh and Reva at their hotel and make sure they're OK, and maybe invite them over to dinner.
Edmund: I don't think that's a very good idea.
Scene 4: Palace
Edmund: You won't find Josh or Reva Lewis at the hotel.
Michelle: Oh, why not?
Edmund: Well, I'm afraid they left for home this morning. Their unfortunate run-in with the law soured them on my country.
Michelle: Wha--they're gone?
Edmund: Oh, they couldn't get out fast enough. Not that I blame them.
Michelle: That's really bizarre. That's not like them. I mean, they knew I was here. Why wouldn't they have said good-bye?
Edmund: Well, they would've missed their transport.
Michelle: Are you sure? Are you sure they're gone?
Edmund: I escorted them to the airport myself. I took care of things just as I promised.
Danny: Oh, okay. Look, we're sorry that we disturbed you. It's just Michelle was very upset because--
Edmund: No, no, no. It's prefectly understandable. We do whatever we can for the people we love. Look, come on. I'll show you out.
Scene 5: Palace Hallway
Michelle: This place in humongous...
Reva: (Hears Michelle talking.) Michelle! Michelle! (Prince Richard grabs her and stifles her screams.)
Danny: Dungeons?
Michelle: Yes, where...where frustrated royals torture their ex-wives.
Edmund: Welll, I'm afraid we had that revonated along with the moat and tower. If you'd like, I could have one of the staff give you a tour.
Danny: Thanks, but we really actually need to get going.
Edmund: So soon?
Danny: Yeah.
Michelle: Well, not unless I can talk him out of it. I'd really like to...(Shows Reva and Prince Richard telling her to keep quiet.) Well, it's a beach, or a castle, and I've never really seen a castle before.
Edmund: Oh come on Danny! What's the rush? Relax. It's your honeymoon. You have plenty of time for surfing and a tour.
Danny: True. True. OK, alright. But then I insist, why don't you come over by our place later tonight and we'll have some dinner and then go swimming.
Edmund: Well, I am terribly busy but perhaps if you took over my duties, I could always...(Edmund and Michelle laugh.)
Danny: I think not. (Oooh...If looks could kill...)
