Scene 1: San Cristobel Restaurant
(Josh and Reva are talking when Danny and Michelle enter.)
Michelle: (Surprised.) Josh? Reva?
Reva: Oh my God, Michelle? What...?
Michelle: What in the world are you doing...(Hugs Reva.) Hi. What are you--what are you doing in San Cristobel?
The Light
Michelle: Are--are you guys on vacation or what are you doing?
Reva: Uh, actually, I just needed to get out of Springfield for a little while and I thought "What better place than San Cristobel?" (Yeah, you know, considering it's right across Lake Michigan?)
Michelle: Right.
Reva: What are you doing here?
Michelle: Well, we are actually on our honeymoon.
Reva: Oh, of course. Abby's been keeping me posted on the two of you. Congratulations.
Josh: Right, congratulations.
Danny: Thank you. (Reaches out to shake Josh and Reva's hands.) I'm Danny.
Michelle: Oh, I'm sorry! I'm sorry. This is my husband, Danny Santos.
Reva: It's a pleasure.
Danny: Nice to meet you.
Josh: Josh Lewis. (Shaking Danny's hand.) How are you?
Michelle: Yeah, Josh is Bill's uncle. I've known the Lewis' since I was really little.
Danny: Oh, well, I bet she was a real trouble maker when she was little.
Josh: Yeah, she was indeed. You know what, uh, we have to go.
Michelle: Okay, well, where are you rushing off to?
Reva: It's--it's...
Josh: Well, uh, actually--
Reva: It's just been a really long day. We're kind of tired. (Some guy who I'm guessing works at the restaurant takes their picture.)
Josh: Hey! Excuse me! Uh, can I take that please? (Tries to grab the camera.)
The Guy: Hold on, man! It's a bargain at just $2.
Danny: (Walks over to Josh and the guy.) Hey, he just wants to sell it. (Hands the guy some money.) Here. Thank you. Thanks alot.
The Guy: Thank you. Have a nice stay. (He leaves.)
Reva: It's just so strange that we ran into you here. I mean, why did you decide to come to San Cristobel on your honeymoon? (This whole time, Michelle's been giving Josh really weird looks.)
Danny: Oh, I used to come here alot when I was little, and my family's owned a place on the island for a couple of years now.
Reva: Ah...
Michelle: Yeah, uhmm, Danny's mother actually gave us the house as a wedding gift. So, we're at the villa overlooking the cove. It's really beautiful so you guys have to come by and look at the view.
Josh: Oh, you know what? That really does sound incredible. Next time we're here we'll have to take a look. But we have to go right now. Don't we, sweetheart?
Reva: Would you hold your horses? I'm not leaving without the ring. You know how important it is to me.
Josh: We don't have time for that.
Reva: We will make time. I'm not leaving without the ring, Joshua.
Michelle: Listen, if you guys have to go, I'll be happy to pick up the ring for you.
Scene 2: San Cristobel Restaurant
(Danny, Michelle, Reva, and Josh are walking into the dining area. Reva and Josh are still talking about the damn ring, and Danny and Michelle are talking about the picture. Actually, it sounds more like PAS and JL are talking about the picture.)
Danny: Look at this. That's not bad.
Michelle: No, it's cute.
Josh: Reva, forget about the ring. It's not worth it.
Michelle: Listen, no, really, it's not a problem at all, you guys.
Josh: Thank you, but no thanks. We have to go, we do.
Reva: No, I'm not going to leave without the ring. That's all there is to it.
Josh: Reva, this is not the time to dig in your heels. (Huh...?) We have to get out of this mess.
Michelle: I don't--I don't mean to get into it, you know, but if you want to leave and you want the ring, I can pick it up and then everybody will be happy, right?
Reva: You know what? That would be great. I have the receipt for it. It's at that jewelry story. (To Danny.) You probably know it, right? On Main Street. It's a gold ring, and it has the crest of San Cristobel on it.
Michelle: Okay, great, yeah.
Reva: But just please keep it in a safe place. Please.
Josh: Reva, if you don't leave with me now, I'm going to drag you out of here.
Reva: Okay, okay. Thank you. Thanks. It was great seeing you.
Josh: Yeah. Take care.
Michelle: Bye. You, too, uh...
Josh: It was nice meeting you.
Danny: Nice meeting you, too. (Josh and Reva leave as fast as they can.)
Michelle: Bye. Wow. Uh, that was pretty odd.
Danny: Mm-hmm. Yep.
Michelle: I--I don't think I've ever seen Josh and Reva that upset. They're usually so laidback.
Danny: Well...
Michelle: That's weird.
Danny: It's called fear, Michelle. Your friends are scared about something. Very scared.
Scene 3: San Cristobel Restaurant
Michelle: You know what? I think you may be right. I mean, Josh was really nervous and he was really tense. I've never seen him like that before. What if something happened at home, with their kids or anything? I mean, do you think...what?
Danny: I don't know. Do you think?
Michelle: Maybe, I don't know. No, because then Reva would've told me if something was going on at home, you know? Plus she wouldn't have been dragging her heels like she was about leaving. It's so weird.
Danny: Well, they were obviously on edge about something. Did you see the way he acted when that guy took our picture?
Michelle: Yeah, it was so strange. I don't know. At any rate, whatever's going on, we can at least pick up this ring for her.
Danny: No. No way. You are not going near that jewelry store.
Scene 4: San Cristobel Restaurant
(Waiter is handing them menus.)
Waiter: Here you go.
Michelle: Thank you.
Waiter: You're welcome. Here you go.
Danny: Thanks.
Waiter: You're welcome.
Michelle: Danny, it's a jewelry store, okay? Why don't you want me to go?
Danny: Because something is going on with your friends, and they're obviously trying to take off before it catches up with them.
Michelle: What, do you think they broke the law?
Danny: I have no idea. But it doesn't matter because we're steering clear of it.
Michelle: You know, I promised Reva I was going to pick up this ring, so I just...
Danny: Michelle. Hey, we are on our honeymoon. Our hon-ey-moon. How long did it take us to get here? It has been perfect so far and I don't want to ruin it. (Know why it's been perfect? 'Cause you've only been there for about a day. You just wait...You'll regret ever stepping foot on that damned island.)
Michelle: I don't want to ruin it, either. I definitely don't.
Danny: Good. Alright.
Michelle: But, you know, they're my friends and I want to help them. It could be really easy, right? All you have to do is call your friend, the prince. He's a prince. Call Edmund.
Danny: (Very quietly. Kind of under his breath.) Oh, that's crazy.
Michelle: He can just fix everything. (HAHAHA! Oh, sorry...he IS the problem. Albeit, a sexy problem...)
Danny: (Frustrated.) Sweetie, I love that you want to help your friends, but we have enough trouble waiting for us back home.
Michelle: What does that have to do with this?
Danny: It has everything to do with it. We came here to get away from our problems for awhile. I do not want to take on someone else's.
Michelle: Okay, I understand that.
Danny: Okay.
Michelle: The only thing is that, uhmm, I've known the Lewis' since I was very little and they've always been there for my family. And I'm not going to sit by and do nothing when they need help. I can't do that. I won't.
Scene 5: San Cristobel Restaurant
(Danny's eating a shrimp cocktail through this whole scene so he has food stuffed in his mouth the whole time. It's so cute! :) )
Michelle: Listen, I know Reva, okay? I know that she would not have had me pick up this ring in the first place if there was going to be trouble in it, so let's--let's just go and get it over with, alright?
Danny: Well, first of all, it's late and the store's probably closed (Late??? It's lunchtime...) and we've ordered and I'm hungry.
Michelle: It's a ring, okay? Please stop making a big deal out of it. Stop stalling, let's go.
Danny: I'm sorry. The way your friends are acting, it is not just a ring. It's not.
Michelle: Okay. Well, if it's not, then we have to find out what is going on so we can help them, darling. (Stress on the darling. Like she's annoyed or something.)
Danny: Look, mm-mmm, i have alot more experience in this type of thing and I outrank you, and I am vetoing. We are not getting involved.
Michelle: You know, you're making this sound like Josh and Reva's lives are on the line or something. I mean, it's not like the police are after them or--or anything...(She hears police sirens and goes over to the terrace or whatever it's called.)
Danny: What are you doing?
Michelle: Just hold on.
Danny: Michelle?
Michelle: (She see's Josh and Reva getting arrested, you know, that hilarious scene. For some reason, I was just waiting for Reva to slap one of the cops...Anyways, she motions for Danny to come over.) Oh my--come here, come here!
