Update August 2003

Update April 2007

That all seems like a life time ago.   James is 25 years old now and very much a
part of our lives.   I moved to Oregon in June of 2001 and on the way we stopped off in
Idaho to see him.   The meeting was short but we made a connection and he came by
again to see us before we left.

In December of that year, I was Married and James walked me down the isle.  That
was the first time that I knew the connection that I felt toward him, was felt by him as well.

Birth Moms Never Forget

There have never been any long conversations where we sorted out our feelings.   We have
filled in very little of the years that have past.   The why's and the past are rarely spoken of,
but the love is there.   I know only that the time we are able to spend together is mutually
sought out and important to us both.

He told me that he knows that I have always loved him, and he has never for one moment left my
thoughts or my heart.  We saw him several times after our wedding.  We made several short visits
to Idaho and he spent a month with us for the next two summers.   In 2004 he got married to Ami.
We went to the wedding.

I have two Son's and one Daughter that I raised and I helped them all to move here to be close to us.
James and Ami moved here as well after James got out of the service later that year and we have
been close ever since.

Wednesday's are our family game nights and we all gather weekly to spend time together at one
home or another.   Now we have spouses and Grandchildren to add so it is quite a gathering.
We all feel like a family.   I don't hurt any longer over the years that past.   We may someday need to
rehash that time and sort it out but for now it just feels NORMAL to be together.

That was more then I ever could have hoped for.    Maybe more then I ever diserved.

If your touched by Adoption I would love to hear your story.     Please drop me a line.
