(Girl sitting in the shower, water pouring over her, alone)
(Girl looks up)
“Hey.”
(Girl still alone; replies to own salutation.)
“Hey there...mind if I join you?”
“Not at all...would you mind making the water a little hotter though? When you sit down, the water that reaches you is cold.”
“Sure thing...how are you doing?”
“I’m...not too bad. Can’t really complain, I guess.”
“That’s cool. So, what are you doing sitting here by yourself?”
“Just waiting to see if anyone would join me. I’ve been wanting to just talk to someone for a while now...but it seems like everyone’s got so much going on and, well, when I’m with some friends, all they do is joke around. I guess I just miss having a really good conversation, you know?”
(Girl smiles)
“Yeah, I know what you mean...something with a lil more depth than the everyday pleasantries and something from the heart.”
“Exactly! But everyone’s conversational skills seem to have gone down the drain or something. Maybe it’s me...I don’t know. But, yeah, so, I’m just sitting here waiting for someone to come along, someone I can talk to.”
“Well, what about me? Sometimes, the most obvious person is the one that's overlooked.”
(Girl smiles again)
“You’re right...hehe...I haven’t talked to you in a while, have I? I guess I just thought I wouldn’t be seeing you or talking to you anytime soon. Seems like ages since we’ve had a good conversation, doesn’t it?”
“It has been ages. So, catch me up on your life. I’ve got all the time in the world for you.”
(Girl smiles again. She continues talking...or rather, mouthing words and using hands to make gestures of grand things. Lights fade out.)
