A Message from Pastor Ruth

“There's a time for everything, and the season for every activity under the heavens;”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

You might be saying: this is the same scripture that you had in last month’s newsletter, and you would be right. I could not think of a better scripture for this time in my life. There is a time for everything under the sun (Son.)

As I sat at my daughter’s camp in New Hampshire recently and watched the color in the trees change daily, it reminded me of the seasons of God and how we need to heed those seasons as we follow God’s leading.

On Sunday September 26th I preached my parting sermon at Christ Community Church. Not without many tears for sure. We had a wonderful dinner and party at the Broaster House and were blessed by the wonderful turnout and encouragement from everyone.

It has been Pastor Warren and my pleasure and blessing to have been able to serve the Saints at Christ Community Church and to be part of the most amazing, loving and giving community. We truly are leaving a piece of our hearts with each of you.

Although I know that God has a plan for us, he also has one for you. During my last sermon I left out the ending because I was too choked up, so I am going to share it with you now.

During the last storm hundreds of acorns fell from our trees here at our new house. As I was sweeping them off the walk so no one would fall, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and reminded me that inside each acorn is the potential for a tree. All I could think of was the fact that you are all like those acorns. Inside each of you there is tremendous potential. I can see that potential and so can God. I believe that all of you are going to grow to great heights in Christ and that Pastor Warren and I will be hearing great things in the future.

We love all of you more than you will ever know but I also know Jesus loves you more. Thank you for allowing us to share your lives and your walk with Christ. We will be praying for all of you.

Forever you friends in Christ, Pastors Warren and Ruth Blais
