Viqui Carbajal from Ventura, California
Knitted and crocheted 118 caps and will keep going until December. "I am volunteering to be a drop off/collection point for the Caps to Capital in the Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Barbara Thousand Oaks area of California and willing to go pick them up. I will be mailing the caps out the 5th of each month until December.

This is to accomodate anyone that is concerned and unable to get out, afford postage, etc. after much concern was posted about no drop off points for the caps in some areas.

Linda Edwards sent mailed off 146 caps September 29th.

Celia in NC will be mailing 50 caps by Tuesday, October 3rd. She plans on doing more before the first of December.

Jane in Florida has made 50 and is sending them out shortly.

On September 28, 2006, Kay -in Missouri shipped 50 caps to Caps

BJ Strickland has 60 done and will be mailing them out this week. She'll do as many more as she can & has sent an email out to all the LYS that she had an address for in TN. She's also got 5 women who work at a hospital in KY doing some. The word is getting out slowly but surely.
Kudos BJ!

Here's a note from Vicki from Boston: "Please post on your tally board the following: 50 caps are on their way to the Capital! This has been a collaborative effort with the women at Curves, me and my Mother. By the way, the beautiful woman holding the caps, is, yes, you guessed it, my Mom. She is here visiting us from Simi Valley, CA and will be staying through til December. If anyone is from Simi Valley, give a shout-out to her. It's fun to have her here as we are having a good time knitting and crocheting. I am on vacation this week and will be attempting to teach her how to crochet. A bit awkward after knitting, but she is getting the hang of it. Well, off to the post office I go and then home to start my second 50." Go Vicki!

Vicki sent off another 64, bringing her count to 114. She reports that the girls at Curves have made approx. 60 of them.
