We are all very proud of him, but also concerned for his safety. He did this on his own, without our help.
Having only a GED, he had to work, save his money and then get some college credits before the Marines
would let him join up. Shaun's grandfather, Fred, was also a Marine. Shaun was born on Fred's birthday, March 12th.
I've just talked with the Marine Locators and have written Shaun a letter and am sending him a card. I found out he is now a Lance Corporal. Cool!
Shaun's maternal grandfather was in the army and his father was a submariner (Spadefish). We have military in our backgrounds. Shaun we still miss you and think of you often.
