ow I pray in memory of words spoken by the great
remembering certain of Christ's teachings which indicate
that I was not departing from paths taught by Christ to follow the devil
when I attained a high experience of the spiritual kind
at the time when I was feeling dissatisfied with my state of mind
and desiring to move to a higher spiritual level
Remembering how Christ said, if any man come to me
and hate not his father and his mother and his wife
and children and brothers and sisters and also his own life
he cannot be my disciple even if he is outwardly
And he that loveth his life in this world shall lose it
but he that hateth his life in this present world
shall keep it unto a life eternal with God's spirit
because in loving God instead of the world he has kept God's word
And in another scripture a disciple speaks to us saying
love not the world neither the things that are in it
if any man love the world the love of God is not in his spirit
even if he spends time on Sundays going to church and praying
And again this disciple wrote in inspired words
saying all that is in this world where lust leads to sinful strife
the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life
are not of God the father but are of the world
And the world passeth away and the lust thereof
but he that does God's will abideth forever in His love
So then what is that love we should have that is most important?
Christ made it simple when his disciples were told
that the first the greatest the most important commandment
is that people should love God with all their heart mind and soul
God I humbly request of thee that thou wouldst help me
so that these memories of words spoken by Christ
help me to rise to a better and higher mentality
wherein my heart mind and sould will be closer to God's light
Cleanse me of my sins and forgive me for my sins
and heal me of the physical and mental injuries within
that I have inflicted on myself through my lack of virtue
so that my sins do not encumber my drawing near to you
And in general aside from such specific goals
I request of thee God that in the coming days
you would respond to thoughts I think and words I speak when I pray
and help me to rise closer to thee in heart mind and soul
And excepting those for whom it's not the will of heaven
that we should ask God to give such things to such persons
All things I ask for myself now in this prayer
I ask also for all persons everywhere
I ask these things of thee God in the angel bestowed name
of thy son Yayzoos who by the name Jesus is famed
