It's so much friendlier with Pooh

"Hand in hand is a friendly way to wonder"



This is my Pooh page, he's so cute and fuzzy:) How long has this little guy been around you ask? Since about 1921. In fact Pooh was Christopher Milne's first birthday present. The original bear who lived in a zoo (that Christopher often visited) was a Canadian Black bear named Winafred. And there was a little goose named Pooh, so Christopher, in likeing these to animals so dearly, named his new birthday bear after both of the animals, making him "Winnie the Pooh". I happen to take a likeing to the little fellow so I made a little page about him with just a couple pictures and facts :-)

This is the original "Winnie bear". Christopher often visited him at the zoo The bear stared out as just an ordinary black bear. Then later on his name was joint up with one of Christopher's favorite stuffed animals "Pooh bear".
