FUCKIN ROCK MAN!!!!

3/21/01
Fans are waiting with bated breath. Insiders to the band have declared there will be at the very least a summit for the members of SSF at an undisclosed location in the near future. Band members Leo White and Brian Coughlin were seen arm in arm outside of a Quincy bar last Saturday. Fans are increasingly encouraged. "I promised my guru I wouldn't say anything incriminating," Hoss said as he opened the door to Sully's in Quincy, MA. "We're just having a good time." Sources close to the band say that Hoss had a long heart to heart with drummer T. J. Miller during the St. Patrick's Day festivities concerning the future of the band. "It's just a question of where we go from here," T. J. was quoted as he left in the early morning hours. "It ain't up to me." Guitarist Chris Field was unavailable for comment.

SSF REUNION???????? keep checking to find out!!!!

7/2/00
Well last week was a great one for Bostonians with not one, but two fine SSF shows in the area, Monday night at the Middle East being a particular highlight. The band opened with two never-before-performed-live songs entitled "We're A Rock N'Roll Band" and "School Work Death," and later added another, tentatively titled "Rain." The band also played some classics such as "Weekday Mornings In The Summer Time" and "Leaches," wrapping things up with a rocking cover of The Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down" and, as always, "Hard To Breathe." Guitarist Leo White, when asked how it was for him, replied "Killer, man. Absolutely f***in' killer. The fans were great, the sound was great.....the boys and I just had a blast." Bassist Hoss agreed, saying "It's great to be playing live again, especially with all the new material. There's no better feeling than playing a new song and getting a positive response from the audience, who were absolutely brilliant tonight."

6/14/00
SSF fans can now obtain their very own discount flyer for the Middle East show on the 26th of June by clicking here and printing the page. The flyer entitles its carrier to $1 off the normal cover charge of $6.

The summer tour is finally beginning to take shape, with four dates now set in stone. The latest to be added is O'Briens Pub, in Allston, MA on the 12th of July. Full details are on the gigs page.

5/31/00
The band have announced another date for their upcoming tour, and it will be at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA, on the 26th of June. More details are on the tour page. Check back soon for news on how to get a discount on admission to this show.

5/25/00
The first date of the band's upcoming summer tour will be at The Chopping Block in Boston on the 23rd of June. The band are currently demoing songs for their upcoming album, and plan to test some of the material out on the road before committing it to tape.

5/15/00
The next Stereo Soul Future album will probably be released in late August, if not early September, according to band members Leo White and TJ Miller, who spoke exclusively with SSF Online after last night's Travis show in Northampton. The band should be on the road throughout the months of July and August, with a new single to be released beforehand. Be sure to check back soon for further details.

5/9/00
SSF bassist Brian "Hoss" Coughlin may find himself in a courtroom soon on charges of misdemeanour. A co-passenger on a flight Coughlin recently took from Chicago to Providence claim that apparently upset with his failure to be accommodated in the first class section of the plane, he "took out his frustration on his fellow passengers with obnoxious behaviour, ludicrous demands, and a number of obscenities." A spokeswoman for the band has challenged the passenger to take Coughlin to court, saying that they will be happy to prove that there was no wrong-doings on the part of Coughlin. "The ludicrous demands part is utter sh*t, and the rest is all exaggerated. There was more obnoxious behaviour on this guy's part than on Hoss's! I asked Hoss if he wanted to countersue, but he said he couldn't be arsed, really. Better off letting this guy have his fifteen minutes."

5/8/00
Well it looks like the Stereo Soul Future Summer Tour 2000 is about to take shape, with one date already confirmed in their hometown of Boston at TT The Bears Place July 25th. Also look for dates soon to be announced in Western Massachussetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, New York and Pennsylvania. The band will be promoting the already released Behind Your Eyes, in addition to playing material from their upcoming studio album, due to be released in the Fall. Expect a new single/EP to be released to coincide with the tour, along with some new SSF T-shirts.

5/02/00
Despite some technical difficulties delaying their set, Stereo Soul Future delighted fans Saturday night with their appearance at Rivier 2000. The 40-minute set kicked off with fan favourites "Informal Girl," "Rollerskates," and "Weekday Mornings in the Summertime." "Leaches" and "Mud in the Ground," the two new tracks from Behind Your Eyes both made their live debut, as did two previously unheard songs "Runnin' Back To My Ma" and "Shallow," as well as a cover of The Rolling Stones' classic "Beast of Burden." The set finished off with the always crowd-pleasing hit "Hard To Breathe."

When asked how his debut live performance with the band was, drummer TJ Miller said "It was alright - the sound was pretty crappy, but I think we did alright. The shows this summer should kick ass, though."

4/25/00
The organizers of Rivier 2000 have announced that Stereo Soul Future will indeed be headlining the festival, which will take place on Saturday, April 29. While SSF Online broke this news over a month ago, there had been no official announcement until now. It is widely speculated that the organizers refrained from any official word because it is a free event. According to one Rivier employee, "They don't want to see what happened with the Stones' free show at Altamont happen up here. Our security force doesn't have the numbers to match up with that kind of a crowd." When reached for comment about the possible onslaught of fans at the show, Chris Field responded, "All I've been told is that there's gonna be a sh*tload of people there. It's a free show, which we're doing for the fans and the fans only. We're going to be loud. I can promise you that." The festival kicks off at 6:00PM, with several opening bands performing prior to the arrival of Stereo Soul Future, who are scheduled to take the stage at 9:00PM.

4/18/00
Emaginary Records CEO and SSF Producer Ian Hughes has made a major announcement regarding the label and its website. "EmaginaryRecords.com is progressing very well, although I know you guys can't tell because there haven't been any updates to it. It's there though, behind the scenes. I'm busy as hell trying to get the new website up and on it's way to being the best. There will be an EmaginaryRecords artists page featuring SSF, myself, and all the other artists on the label. Within a month I'll have EmaginaryRecords.com tshirts made for sale on the site. There will be a merchandise page where "Behind Your Eyes" and other SSF stuff will be sold."

Hughes also talked about the possibility of using the site to encourage aspiring bands to send in demos. "You know how cool it's going to be to get an email from some unknown band that wants to send a demo CD to Emaginary? I'll definitely put a link up for receiving unsolicited demos."

And just when you thought that Hughes wasn't busy enough, he also revealed that his new band ("NOT a reformation of The Glades," he promised) would be making an appearance at The University of San Diego May 3rd. In addition, he will be recording a new album at the beginning of the summer. "I was delighted with the response that (latest single) 'Fear the Police' received on both coasts - I may dig into the archives and remake some old songs and give them the same kind of production technique as FTP recieved." Oh, and he will also be manning the boards once again for the upcoming SSF album, due to be released Fall 2000.

4/11/00
A spokesperson for the band has denied reports that the band are pulling out of their scheduled festival appearance at Rivier 2000 later in the month. Rumours had been circulating yesterday that bassist Brian "Hoss" Coughlin would not make the gig and that the band were either backing out, or replacing Coughlin with producer/multi-instrumentalist Ian Hughes or famed 80s bassist Pino Palladino. When reached for comment in his Chicago appartment, however, Coughlin had this to say: "You better believe I'm gonna be there! I just have to sort out some financial troubles first, but that's not gonna stop me from tearin' the roof off of Rivier 2000 on the 29th." Guitarist Leo White, speaking on the phone from Amherst, MA, said "The show will go ahead as planned, even if I have to play the f***in' bass meself. No way are we going to disappoint thousands of SSF fans."

The festival, which takes place at Rivier College, Nashua NH, kicks off around 4pm, with Stereo Soul Future going onstage sometime later in the evening. More information about the event will be posted shortly.

4/10/00
SSF guitarist Chris Field was spotted last night at The Avalon Ballroom in Boston checking out The Charlatans/Stereophonics gig with band friend/photographer Steve Lucek. He revealed some further details about the festival the band are slated to appear at later in the month: "It's some sort of battle-of-the-bands thing I guess - given the fact that we could have blown either of these two bands off the stage tonight, I quite fancy our chances." Lucek, when asked if he would be attending the event, said "You betcher candyass!"

4/9/00
Band members Leo White and TJ Miller made an appearance at the University of Massachusetts on Friday, playing a short, acoustic, 2-song set to an audience of well over 500. The "gig" did not go ahead without controversy, however, with some people expressing disappointment at the length of the performance, particularly in light of the rumours that the University had paid the duo a large, undisclosed amount of money to appear. Nevertheless, White defended the criticism, stating that the performance was "advertised not as a Stereo Soul Future concert, but rather as a University event with a special appearance by Leo White and TJ Miller." Miller added "We talked with lots of fans afterwards and the reception was all positive - it's just these certain members of the press that are out to get us 'cos we're climbing to the top - f*** 'em!" The pair also revealed to SSF Online that the whole band will be playing a festival in New Hampshire later in the month.

3/24/00
Stereo Soul Future's latest album, "Behind Your Eyes" is now available for purchase on the Stereo Store page of this website. It has received glowing reviews from numerous sources including The Currier Times, who described it as "refreshing to hear with all the other music on the radio these days".

3/9/00
After months of public speculation on their future, Stereo Soul Future are set to return to the studio to start work on their new album, rumoured to be titled "Bartles & James" after bassist Brian "Hoss" Coughlin's recent penchant for wine coolers. Longtime SSF producer Ian Hughes, himself currently in the midst of a veritable media circus in promotion for his own new album (Hughes is accused of killing two San Diego reporters and has lately been denying ties to underground Californian Ninja posses) will once again be manning the console for the sessions. When asked about Hughes' availability (or lack thereof) for the upcoming sessions, guitarist Chris Field was quoted as saying, "If he could maybe quit throwing f***ing publicity stunts for one f***ing second of the day, then maybe we could make a decent f***ing record." "Bartles & James" is currently slated for a September release.

2/12/00
The release and availability of the band's upcoming retrospective, tentatively titled "Behind Your Eyes", is imminent, with the tracklisting now finalised. It will feature 16 tracks recorded over the last three years, including one brand new song, "Leaches". The tracklisting is as follows:

1. Leaches
2. So Happy
3. Hard To Breathe
4. All Together in my Mind
5. Weekday Mornings in the Summertime
6. Day To Day
7. December 1996
8. Hey!
9. Singin' a Song (of Love (to You))
10. Hey There Brother, It's a Good Day to Die
11. Gimme Time
12. Goin' Nowhere
13. Regret
14. World of Tears
15. Informal Girl
16. She Didn't Come

2/1/00
According to a statement issued by band management, SSF guitarist Chris Field has signed on to produce record mogul/SSF producer/former VIP mainstay Ian Hughes' next album, his first release for the newly formed company Imaginary Records. Hughes, who has previously handled the production duties for all of his own albums, recently stated that he is "sick of doing it all himself". Further commenting about the change in direction, Hughes said "I'm just gonna play my parts and answer questions. That's it. It should be cool". The album is tentatively slated for a late spring release.

1/26/00
It has been reported that band member Leo White apparently broke his arse-bone during a sledding accident tuesday night in Amherst, MA. This is not the first injury the band has sustained. In fact, the band has been injury plagued for quite some time. Back in the fall Chris Field almost broke both his heels in Boston, MA, and before that Brian "Hoss" Coughlin was struck by a moving vehicle in Chicago, IL. When informed of the news of White's injury, Coughlin reportedly said "Silly boy - Talk about the luck of the Irish."

1/21/00
VIP Records head honcho Ian Hughes has left VIP Records, a label spokesperson announced yesterday. The future of the label is in doubt. This comes in the wake of recent happenings at another estabilished indie label, Creation Records, with founder Alan McGee leaving just months ago. When asked whether it was for the same reasons (McGee supposedly wanted to do "smaller things"), Hughes was quoted as saying "**** that! I want to do bigger things. The only way is up." It was at this point that Hughes announced his immediate future plans. "The new label will be called Imaginary - as will the studio." It is unclear which label the upcoming Stereo Soul Future compilation will be released on.

1/18/00
It has now been confirmed that there will be a brand new song included on the upcoming compilation CD, entitled "Leaches." The song was recorded earlier this month, with producer Ian Hughes once again manning the boards. The final tracklisting for the CD, the band's first to be made available via this website, will be announced in the coming days, as will ordering information.

1/14/00
Stereo Soul Future are delighted to announce the addition of a new member, drummer TJ Miller. He is a longtime friend of the band, and an extraordinarily gifted musician. When asked about what role he will be playing in the band, Miller commented "All I gotta do is act naturally." More information on TJ can be found on the TJ page.

Stereo Soul Future fans can look forward to a compilation CD being made available to purchase on this site in the coming weeks. Though no official release date or tracklisting has been set, bassist Brian "Hoss" Coughlin has been quoted as saying "Well sure, there are obvious choices, such as 'Breathe' and 'All Together', but lost nuggets, or maybe a remixed version of 'Mother' might make the final cut too." It is rumoured that there will definitely be one brand new song included on the disc.

On December 26th, the band played a triumphant gig at Demenshen in Providence, RI. The band's set consisted of material both new and old, with well-received songs including "She Didn't Come", "Hard To Breathe", and "Informal Girl". The night ended with a three song encore of "Down & Out", "Movin' On To Th'Musik", and a hilarious tongue-in-cheek rendition of Lenny Kravitz' modern rock hit/car commercial jingle "Fly Away".

12/5/99
It's official. Stereo Soul Future will be celebrating the new year in style (actually five days early) with a gig at Demenshen (formerly known as Fuelture) on Fountain Street in Providence RI. It will take place on Boxing Day (also known as the day after Christmas), that is December 26th. It is the first show the band will have played in well over a year, and promises to be an absolute cracker, with a setlist likely comprised of material from their latest album, "Perfect Afternoon," as well as some classics from "Polysinus" and "Go! Go! The Moxie." It's an event not to be missed.

11/14/99
It is now 99% certain that there will be at least one east-coast gig in December, with sources close to the band indicating that the venue in question is Fuelture in Providence, RI. There is also a 50/50 chance of another date, perhaps at the Seanote in Hull, MA.

11/5/99
"Hard To Breathe", the band's latest rockin' single, has entered the Rolling Stone Rock and Pop charts at number 34, with more mp3 downloads than platinum-selling artists Soul Asylum, the Verve Pipe, and Styx. It also has a user rating of 5.00 out of a possible 5.00, and has garnered favourable reviews from all around.

11/1/99
Band member Brian "Hoss" Coughlin was struck by a car last night in downtown Chicago. Apparently well-intoxicated, Couglin walked out into an intersection without looking left and right, and thus suffered the consequences. Luckily, he was for the most part unharmed, and only suffered a minor bruise on his leg. "Let this be a lesson for all you kids out there", Coughlin said, "Always look both ways before crossing the street. Especially if you're hammered."

10/11/99
Rumours are abound that there is some serious turbulence within the band these days, and that they are on the verge of splitting. The following facts are known:
* All members of the band currently reside in different cities accross the country.
* There has been tension regarding the immediate future of the band.
* The band have discussed having seperate buses for their next tour.
* All three have mentioned suicide in previous statements (n.b. When contacted, the band's management wrote these statements off as references to a possible future album title being "COMMERCIAL suicide")

10/8/99
It seems that a close friend of the band, Steve Lucek, has been having some kind of medical problems in the last couple of days and the band released a statement wishing him the best on his way to full recovery. Steve has helped the band inside and outside the studio on their last three efforts. It seems that Steve had some kind of uncomfortable pains while hanging out with SSF lead guitarist Chris Field at his Boston flat on Beacon Street late Tuesday night. Yesterday, Steve was quoted as saying, "The worst is over now. I feel good. I just have to test out my new equipment". His ailment has not yet been released.

9/24/99
Due to the disappearance and subsequent reappearance of Brian Coughlin, and the valuable time it cost the band, the new album PERFECT AFTERNOON will not be released on October the 27th, but rather on November the 16th. A spokesman for the band did, however, speculate that the band would soon release "Hard To Breathe" as the first single to be taken from the album. Other than Chris Field's description of it as "the best rock n' roll song ever written", not much is known of the track. The spokesman also denied reports that "Velvet Bag" the legendary, long unreleased song would be the B-side to the single.

9/18/99
After twelve painful days, Brian Coughlin has finally resurfaced. He was reportedly "living it up" in an a Chicago appartment full of young women. Coughlin now joins the ranks of Rock n'Roll's great recluses, such as Syd Barrett and W. Axl Rose. The band wishes to thank the thousands of fans who sent letters of sympathy over the last week and a half.

9/16/99
Brian Coughlin Missing Report Update: Day Ten
A source close to the band was quoted as saying that he thought that Brian was going to Chicago "to cleanse himself of drugs. He said he had wanted to do it for a long time, but he felt that now was that time". The quoted source preferred any to remain anonymous. However, the band still is not sure as they have yet to make contact with him and were not available for comment.

In other SSF news, Leo White and band friend Steve Lucek were reportedly involved in a tussle with two females outside the Paradise Club in Boston last night. Apparently, when the men were refused entry to the club, they demanded an explanation, and ugliness ensued. When asked about the incident today, Leo White said "There was no improper behaviour on the parts of Steve and I." One witness at the scene of the alleged fuss also pointed out that White and Lucek were very well behaved, contrary to reports. "They were so nice, they even explained the meaning of the word 'laryngitis' to a girl with very little English", said the witness. When asked how he could be out for a night on the town in such a distressful time for the band (bassist Brian Coughlin has been missing for ten days now), he responded "Yeah, we still can't find a new bassist. You don't understand how painful it is".

9/15/99
There is still no sign of Brian Coughlin. He has been missing for nine days now. The following facts are known regarding his disappearance:

*He was last seen at his family's home in Milton on the eve of September 6th, 1999.
*He was intoxicated at the time, reportedly due to high alcohol intake.
*He had spoken with band members and those close to the band about possibly heading out to Chicago for some time.
*He left very little evidence behind regarding his whereabouts or how to contact him.
*He is not armed.

9/14/99
Stereo Soul Future has issued the following statement:

On the eve of Monday, September the 6th, Brian Coughlin attended a party with band friend Steve Lucek. He has not been seen since. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please contact the band by email. If Brian Coughlin himself is reading this, his bandmates wish that he please contact them in some way.

The band also denied reports that when Leo White was informed of Brian's disappearance he said "Well we could always go on as a three-piece".

9/3/99
STEREO SOUL FUTURE ONLINE EXCLUSIVE SSF are reportedly on the verge of announcing a major Autumn 99/Winter 2000 tour. According to an unnamed source close to the band, the tour will start on November 20 in Athol, Ma and will gradually make its way across the country. The tour will culminate in Las Vegas on December 31, with the band headlining a casino to be named at a later date. The source also revealed that the "brilliant" new album entitled PERFECT AFTERNOON will definitely be released in the second half of October. Yet again, the band, always busy recording or rehearsing, could not be reached for an official statement.

8/30/99
The rumour mill has already started churning, just days after the posting of the new album cover on the internet. One rumour suggests that band member Leo White can be spotted on the lower left side of the picture running wild and naked. Further album rumours include the thusfar unheard song "Regret" being about a supposed sex-romp involving Eddie Vedder and Mick Jagger, and "She Rolls Her Eyes" about Jagger's estranged wife Jerry Hall's reaction. Other rumours include the green ink used on the cover being written in acid, the sounds of Brian Coughlin suffering actual gunshot wounds at the hands of Producer Ian Hughes, and the enclosing of thirty dollars with every CD. Perhaps the most bizarre of these rumours is one pertaining to the track "Hey!", when played backwards, sounding like two young men repeatedly exclaiming "Chris is in Ohio! Chris is in Ohio!" Sadly, the band was unavailable for comment.

8/26/99
The new album is now officially done. The full tracklisting is:
1.She Rolls Her Eyes
2.Weekday Mornings in the Summertime
3.Hard To Breathe
4.Gimme Time
5.December 1996
6.Informal Girl
7.Hey!
8.Shattering Vase
9.Regret
10.All Together in my Mind
11.So Happy
12.World of Tears
Though nothing is official, sources are hinting at a late October release date. The band are reportedly "very satisfied" with the finished result.

8/20/99
The band has announced that two further tracks for the new album are close to completion, entitled "Hey!" and "She Rolls Her Eyes". Thus far, the songs recorded that are likely to appear on the album are:
"Hard To Breathe"
"All Together in my Mind"
"Regret"
"Informal Girl"
"So Happy"
"Gimme Time"
"Hey!"
"She Rolls Her Eyes"
The band also confirmed the following:
1. The album will NOT include a cover of the theme song from Charles in Charge.
2. B.B. King will NOT be guesting on a track entitled "I'm a Sexxxy Man".

8/19/99
The album now looks well on its way to completion with "So Happy" and the much-talked-about "Gimme Time", according to Chris, "pretty much in the bag". Both tracks have been tipped as possible future singles. And just how would the band describe the album-to-be?
"F---in' great!", according to producer Ian Hughes.
"Awesome", according to Chris.
"The dog's bollocks", according to Leo.
"A beautiful array of soundscapes that simultaneously tread on the paths of joy and despair", according to Hoss.

8/18/99
Brian "Hoss" Coughlin and HBO Films have refused to comment on the possibility of him co-starring in an upcoming buddy-comedy with Brad Renfro entitled Seperated at Birth. Lucasfilms were also unavailable for comment on the likelihood of any members of Stereo Soul Future starring in the next installment of Star Wars. Chris (Anakin Skywalker), Leo (a young Han Solo), and Hoss (a young Chewbacca) have all been rumoured to appear.

8/14/99
A spokesman for SSF has denied reports that sessions for the band's currently untitled new album have come to a standstill after producer Ian Hughes was seen storming out of his Scituate studio yesterday evening. "Ian needed some time off---pure and simple", the source said. "He seems to be extremely excited about the new material and is quite sure that the album will be completed in time for it's scheduled release date." This, of course, only fuels the rumour that the album will be not be released until Christmas, much to the dismay of SSF fans around the world. When asked about this possibility, Leo White reportedly said "Nah. It'll be done in two weeks." Ian Hughes could not be reached for comment at his Connecticut retreat.

8/11/99
According to a source close to the band, the new album is well underway, apparently with all the drum tracks now complete.

8/9/99
Reports earlier this week claimed that Chris Field had been checked in to an undisclosed anger-management clinic, the same one frequented by the likes of actor Christian Slater and rocker Tommy Lee. The rumours, of course, turned out to be false. Field laughed off the reports, even going so far as to deny any angry tendencies."Angry? No." he said, "I'm quite mellow, actually. The only reason all these exaggerated rumours are coming out about the band is that we're getting ready to release a much-anticipated new album." He went on to say "I'm certainly no rocker Tommy Lee. If I hear anything like that again, I'll be forced to bring legal action."

8/6/99
The band have now completed four tracks from the new album. They are "Regret", "Informal Girl", "All Together in my Mind", and as reported last week, "Hard to Breathe". The latter has been described by Chris Field as "the best rock n'roll song of all time", although he has refused to speculate any further on the rest of the tracks. "All I can say is that it's awesome", he said, "it'll be out later in the year, possibly early October, and probably before that on the internet".

8/4/99
A source close to the band has denied accusations of foul play on the parts of Brian "Hoss" Coughlin and Chris Field, along with band friend Steven Lucek, at a party held by former Riff Raff drummer Nick Cahalane in East Milton. "There was a small confrontation with a certain individual at the gathering, but no blows were exchanged" said the source, "SSF are not the violent sort". While the identity of the individual has not been revealed, speculation has lead the media to believe it was Village Idiot John Samuellion. When Chris Field was asked about the incident, he was quoted as saying "That knob has been asking for it for some time....he's lucky we have a record to finish". John Samuellion could not be reached for comment.

8/3/99
Leo White was spotted at Boston's Avalon Ballroom on Landsdowne Street last night checking out The Cult in concert. We were able to get a few words with him.
Enjoy the show?
"Yeah, it was great. Real wild. I was up front so I kinda got the crap kicked outta me, but I had a good time. Nice to see 'em back."
So how's the new album coming along?
"Fantastic. Best thing we've ever done. It's about half recorded at this stage."
Any expectations?
"Well we're hoping it'll do well. We're gonna get it out there, make it more available to the general public. We're definitely gonna sell it over the internet."
Sounds terrific. Any gigs lined up yet?
"Erm....possibly.....I gotta go catch the last train home...."
Well thanks for stopping to talk. Best of luck on the new record.
"Cheers."

8/2/99
Brian Coughlin has returned from his trip to Chicago, and is ready to get right back to business. "Straight back to work" he said today, "We've got a photo shoot on Wednesday, then it's back to the studio". When asked if he could reveal any further information on how the new album will sound, he simply said "Great. Less ballad-heavy than The Moxie. A real rock n'roller".

7/31/99
A spokesman for the band has denied reports that singer/bassist Brian "Hoss" Coughlin was detained at a Chicago Airport for obnoxious behaviour on board a flight from Boston. Reports had alleged that Coughlin, 20, had been harrassing stewardesses on board incessantly. The spokesman referred to these reports as "complete and utter rubbish. Brian Coughlin and the rest of Stereo Soul Future are in no way practitioners of stereotypical rock-star airplane behaviour". He went on to deny any split rumours, saying "Brian is not leaving the band. He is just taking a few days off recording to visit his girlfriend in Chicago."

7/30/99
It now looks almost certain that there will be at least one gig in the Boston area this summer, possibly at TT the Bears club in Cambridge.
