The One-World Religion

Scripture is abundantly clear that, as the second coming of Christ approaches, there will be a great apostasy in which a one-world religion will arise. That religion will be headed by someone called "The False Prophet." The False Prophet will be intimately aligned with the Antichrist, who will be the political and military leader of a one-world government.

Is a one-world government possible? It certainly is, and you can see it arising right now. Is a one-world religion possible? Again, the answer is "Yes." And again, you can see it arising right now in the modern ecumenical movement. The pope, leader of the Roman Catholic Church, is working very diligently to get himself into position to become the leader of that one-world religion. Now let's see what Scripture says of these two characters.

The Great Whore and the Antichrist

¹And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: ²With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. ³So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ⁴And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: ⁵And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. ⁶And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

⁷And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. ⁸The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. ⁹And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. ¹⁰And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. ¹¹And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. ¹²And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. ¹³These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17)

The Great Whore is identified as:

A woman
A whore
Dressed in scarlet and purple
Decked with gold, precious stones, etc.
Drunk with the blood of saints and martyrs
Is located in the city on seven hills
Mother of harlots and abominations
In league with the Antichrist (the beast)

Now let us evaluate the Roman Catholic Church in light of these biblical markers.

The RCC has always referred to herself as a woman (sic., "holy mother the Church.")
The Bible consistently identifies apostate religion as a whore.
Scarlet and purple are the colors of the college of cardinals (top leaders of the RCC).
The pope, cardinals and bishops are ever "decked with gold, precious stones, expensive garments.
The history of the RCC is one of great inquisition and slaughter of Bible believing people.
Rome is the only "city on seven hills" in the world.
Pope John Paul II has been performing abominations, such as becoming a disciple of a Hindu Shiva Priestess. Click her to see it for yourself.
The RCC is headquartered in Rome, the city of seven hills.
The very term "Rome" is understood as a reference to the RCC.
The "league with the Antichrist" is yet future.

Pope John Paul II Now a Pagan!

Although it is mentioned in the list above, this topic deserves greater visibility. Our current pope, John Paul II, has become the obedient disciple of a pagan priestess of the Shiva religion of India. This is but one of a number of actions by this pope in which he either submits himself to paganism, or publicly declares that pagan religions are equal to Christianity. Pope John Paul II Kisses the Koran! "According to published reports, Patriarch Raphael I, spiritual leader of Iraqi Christians using Aramaic as their liturgical language, met with the Pope in the Vatican on May 14^th along with a delegation of non-Christian leaders from Iraq. [. . . ] When the audience with the Pope was ending, Patriarch Raphael said, the Holy Father bowed to the Muslim holy book the "Qu'ran," presented to him by some members of the delegation, and kissed it, as a sign of respect for Islam, as well as the Iraqi people. [. . .] Many are troubled by papal participation in previously publicized, inclusive religious ceremonies and events, throughout the world, which are in direct contradiction to Holy Tradition, and the teachings of the Church." Giving official credence to a pagan religion is an heretical act of apostasy - by the pope!

Pope Paul VI's Apostolic Constitution? "Yes, Paul 6 replaced the Divine Sacrifice of Calvary with his humanistic, Cain-like offering called the NEW ORDO. Actually he admitted his CRIME on APRIL 3, 1969. This date should stand out before the eyes of everyone who calls themselves Catholic. The New Covenant has been broken, under agreement with the Gentiles."

"Paul 6 brazenly calls (his) 2-page "confession" an "APOSTOLIC CONSTITUTION". He admits he "revised" by way of "The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council" the ROMAN MASS MISSAL OF ST. PIUS V IN 1570. What more proof could anyone want?" (I.E., proof that the pope performed an act of heresy in digressing from the centuries-old Tradition of the Mass, and in directly violating several Cannons of the Council of Trent, and an infallible declaration of Pope St. Pius IV.) EVIDENCE: Pope Called Antichrist by Priest

"We should not be surprised if, in the storm devastating the Church, the frail Society of St. Pius X should also be undergoing violent attacks. On the one side, it is attacked for being too much opposed to the Council (Vatican II) and to Rome; too attached to Tradition in dogma and liturgy; too set against the counciliar reforms and ecumenism, etc. . . . On the other side, it is attacked, to the contrary, for keeping too close contacts with Rome, which has turned into the seat of the Antichrist, a dependency of Hell, and for opposing too weakly the counciliar reforms. Calling the Pope "Antichrist" has, until this time, been a charge raised primarily by Bible believing Christians for the past five hundred years. Now we see Roman Catholic priests leveling this charge against our present Pope, as the one who currently sits in 'the seat of Rome.' I believe that Fellay accurately identifies Rome as 'the seat of the Antichrist.' I do not, however, believe that Pope John Paul VI is the Antichrist. Scripture attests that this title goes to a political/military leader who arises from the restored 10-nation Roman Empire. Rather do Rome and the Pope better fit the Scriptural description of the False Prophet - the end-times religious leader who is aligned with the Antichrist.
