Covid-19 Update.  Like most of the world, we are constantly adapting our lives during the past couple years. We are continually adding more in-person events as we safely can per direction of our local governments and partner organizations. We still offer some online programming options. Some areas have different policies than others, so please be patient and follow all guidelines including masking and vaccination requirements. Be safe and stay healthy!

  • Comedy Improv Classes Spring Session for adults return to Unity House Players in Springfield, MA starting April15th!  Improve quick thinking, creative collaboration, stage confidence, and more. Contact improv@phantomsheep.com for more info and to register.
  • LaughCrafters: Spring Kick Off Show. Live interactive comedy, will also feature some students from our winter workshop.  Thursday March 21st, 7:30PM at Unity House Players, 245 Porter Lake Drive, Springfield, MA
  • We return for another year at Academy Hill School in Springfield to offer weekly youth classes in the area, with LEGO Challenge starting March 20th.  Contact 413-788-0300 for more information and registration on upcoming SPARK classes.
  • 6 Phantom Sheep troupe members have been nominated for Broadway World CT awards for their work with Opera House and Suffield Players. Please vote for Eric Boucher (Director, RENT), Tommy Lynch (set design), Aaron Reynolds (RENT Ensemble), Paige Stawasz (performer in a play), Josh Prouser (director, Evergreen Mall), and Stevie Norman (supporting performer).
  • Kick off the new year with our January Improv Jam! Great chance to try something new, brush up on some skills, and meet new people.
  • ANNUAL HOLIDAY SHOW! 2023 edition Friday Dec. 15th 7:30PM at Unity House Players. New sketches and lots of live improv!
  • New Stickers are here! Featuring the artwork of our own Jeff Tingley. Available for only $1 at any of our shows, or just ask a troupe member!
  • Summer Improv We were proud to offer Improv workshops for kids, teens, and adults this summer at UUSGS.
  • We brought our improv and puppetry workshops to Valley Student Theater's summer program in East Granby, CT.
  • Jeff was the Fight Director (stage combat) for Hampshire Shakespeare Company's production of Macbeth in Amherst, MA. Show opens July 20th.
  • We've helped Ellington Community Theater (ECT) install and customize the set for their production of Beauty and the Beast.
  • Eric and Jeff directed Little Shop of Horrors for WNE's Stageless Players March-April 2023. The team returns to direct The Rocky Horror Show April 2024!
  • Eric directed "RENT" for Opera House Players in Enfield, CT to rave reviews breaking OHP box office records. Other Phantom Sheep members and student alumni were also in the cast and production team. Thank you to everyone who shared this experience with us on stage and in the audience!
  • We were proud to be part of WNEU's Performance Camp offering 4 workshops in improv.
  • We have been working with our friends at Opera House Players on their productions such as "Matilda" designing set, props, and special FX, along with creating the sets for their online production of "Something Rotten" and the return of in-person theater with "Shrek".  Recently we also did design work enjoying successful runs on "Mamma Mia";  "next to normal" (May 2022), "The Little Mermaid!" (August 2022), "School of Rock" (August 2023), "Jesus Christ Superstart" (Nov 2023), and set design for "RENT" (Nov 2022), which Eric also directed.   • "Mrs. Claus' Christmas Eve: A StoryTale Adventure!"  An original show created by us for SFNE's debut "Holiday in the Park" returned for its fourth season!  Music, puppetry, comedy, and more! Written by Eric, Directed by Eric, Tommy, and Jeff over the years, and featuring several of our improv class alum on stage.  A book based on the show is also currently in the works!
  • Keeping connected through Quarantine.  We hosted over 50 regular online meets for players from all over the world to play and connect during quarantine; and we also peformed a few LaughCrafters: Online & Unscripted Live Shows including our annual free Holiday Show online in 2020! Thank you all who logged in to laugh with us! You can now enjoy a recording of the live show plus sketches on our YouTube channel.
  • "Zoom to the Groom" Over 10 performers, including Phantom Sheep repertoire, alumni, and students gathered "virtually" each remotely taping their roles to produce this brand new sketch! Check it out on our Youtube channel!
  • After proudly working with J-ART at the JCC for over 5 years, we decided to move to a new theater home in the fall of 2019 forming a partnership with "Unity House Players"/UUSGS to expand our offerings of improv classes, shows, and workshops to the Greater Springfield area as well as assist in their many theatrical productions!  Thank you those who joined us for our first few sessions with UHP.   • We worked with our friends at Unity House Players to create over 50 custom props for their production of "Seussical: The Musical". Some props are available for rental to other groups. Please contact us for more information.

  • "Laugh out Loud at the Libraries" Teen improv workshops return to Southwick, West Springfield, Westfield, Abington, Agawam, and more!
