My work is done in a very detailed realistic manner.
I use color and pattern to fragment the surface and
unusual compositions to create an individual style.
Subjects are chosen that have the familiarity of
personal memory. My intent is to be aware of the beauty surrounding
us in nature or in household objects, beauty in the commonplace of
our lives. Occurrences in my life have an effect on the tone
of the artwork. I strive to go beyond the surface depiction to
get to that emotion or to imply a mystery or to get to a sense of peace.
