I think DCA is a great idea. I think the whole resort concepts are terrific, I for one cannot wait to expierence this in 2001. Downtown Disney also looks good, I'm a fan of DCA right now, hopefully it will meet my expectations.

I have looked over the artwork and the model at the preview center. Is it just me or does it look like the rafts are coming out of the bear's rear end?

I really don't like to complain about Disney Theme Parks, but California Adventure looks extremely cheap and I think it will hurt Disney's theme park reputation. How much more generic can you get than a big Ferris Wheel in an area themed to a boardwalk fair?
I really should have known that this would be the future of Disney parks: I was fortunate enough to meet an Imagineer years ago (who worked on Florida's Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror) and he told me in 1994 to expect to see off the shelf rides in the future. He left Imagineering that same year.
Disney should be building the "Disney Seas" park instead of the corny California Adventure. As it is, California Adventure looks unispired.
On the upside, California Adventure looks like it will have more attractions on opening day than the Disney MGM Studios has now (and that park opened 10 years ago).
UDARREN: I think DCA is a great idea, but they do not promote it enough. No official site have I been able to find anywhere. I visited the preview center 6 months ago, signed the guest book, and just now got my first correspondence from them. A boring postcard with info I knew a year ago (before I ever visited the preview center). But I'm excited for the new park. While it will probably never even compare to Disneyland, it's simply an addition not a replacement. They are taking the cheap way out yes, but Walt Disney is dead, & there will never be another so I prefer to just accept the bad decisions, they are not taking away Dineyland afterall. Where can we get info on the overall expansion, not just DCA? I think the Peter Pan themed pool is a wonderful one, and some cool attractions are coming to DCA. I think It's Tough To Be A Bug, and Muppet 3-D, Soarin' Over California , and Grizzly Rapids Run will be the best rides. Thanks for the best unofficial DCA site on the net.
Dustin Schofield: Nobody E-Mailed me so I decided I would get this page started. Maybe someone will E-Mail me now.
I think DCA is a wonderfull concept, but I think with all the films they have taken the cheap way out on a lot of things. I think that the good attractions are Hyperion Theater, Grizzly Rapids Run, Soarin Over California, and California Screamin'.
James S: I think the tall building in the Hollywood District is probobly for Rock'n Roller Coaster. They are going to need to compete with Knott's. They could also design a roller coaster around a movie like Armageddon. It would be cool to step inside the soundstage of a film and try to maneuver your ship through asteroids to land on the surface and save earth.
