born probably near Boonesborough, on Otter Creek.
When James died, he left a tract of land on which he resided containing about 500 acres, the larger part of which lies in Madison Co., and the residue in Estill Co. The land was on drowning Creek, the dividing line between the two counties. He was taxed for the land on the waters of drowning Creek.
