Version 1
The Triple threat was origionally formed in 1995 as a symbol of excellence. Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit - at the time the World Heavyweight Champion and the Tag-team champions. Over time Malenko and then Benoit left for WCW and Douglas went to the WW crappin' F.
Version 2
Six months later Douglas returned and was soon joined by Chris Candido and Brian Lee - the second version of the Triple Threat. After a year, Brian Lee became Shane Douglas' enemy and the remaining Threat members needed a third member.
Version 3
Bam Bam Bigalo became the newest member of the Thiple Threat but he soon backstabbed Shane Douglas and beat him to win the ECW Title. At November to Remember 1997 Shane Defeated Bam Bam to recapture the belt and Bam Bam befriended them. From then until December 1998 the Triple Threat stuck together until Bam Bam left for WCW. Shockingly Chris Candido turned on Shane Douglas at Guilty as Charged 1999 and cost him the ECW title to Taz.
The highlight of the Newest Triple Threat was at November to Remember 1998 which saw Douglas, Bam Bam and Candido face Sabu, Taz and RVD.
