Fate
Black tears fall through eternity's
timeline escaping from a bitter cold.
All those days that were
lived in shame now hold broken
hearted dreams.
Standing at the crossroads leaning
over the yellow line, allowing
the tears to once again fall
from my eyes. Time passes,
looking for reassurance, only denial,
a bitter pain. Looking back over my shoulder
I bid them all a silent goodbye,
treasures once lined in gold, have all rusted away
into nothing.
Treasures that were once held strong
in the heart are now gone forever.
Walking the last distance to my
final place, singing the song, agreeing with fate.
Taking what you once knew as your life,
making and breaking fate.
