My Reason
Sometimes life gets hard. I know this. So does a lot of people but when it comes down to the hard times, many just run. I am here to say that I do not run. I was tested. My faith put to test and I came out on the good side. I am one that does not back down. I have looked into the eyes of total helplessness and walked away from it. When my daughter was born, I never thought that I would leave the hospital with her but she came home alright. Nothing was really wrong with my daughter except for the fact that she was born 7 and a half weeks early. I am glad of that and I thank God for that every day of my life in the same breath that I thank him for her.
She is my shining star. My life line. My reason for living each day to the fullest. She has now become what I live for. Most parents love their children, but as they get older it becomes less important to spend that quality time with them. Instead they leave them alone, allow their friends to practically raise them and instead of installing the values of life in them, they allow someone else to influence their dicisions of life. I am going to go as far as saying that I am not going to allow someone else to raise my child. Tomorrow, next year, even 20 years from this day is going to be just as important in my life as today is.
When I try to look at myself through my daughters eyes. I feel alive for the first time in my life.
