¥ Eat Pooks ~ Ten - Senario By: Danni Vanstane

For a moment you watch as Pooks sniffs and licks your hand like the Pooks you've loved for the last twelve years. His pulse is louder now, the scent of his blood so strong now that you've noticed. You feel a pinch in your mouth, and reach up feeling the sharp unfamiliar fangs. You feel very warm now almost to the point of fever and the hunger burns in your stomach.
Pooks whimpers and begins back away, your face becomes hotter, you know it's changed, and you follow. Pooks whimpers again and you falter... What am I doing?! Not Pooks! Your eyes tear up and you feel disgusted even more so with yourself. Pooks and Cory were the only ones you felt an unconditional love from and you were about to make him dinner!
"Sissy?"
Cory! He can't see me like this! You felt relieved that it was so dark, it was much easier to hide your face.
"Are you okay sissy? Is Pooks sick? I could hear him making sick noises while I was playin' with my toys."
"He's ok Cor, go on and take him into your room. He can be the Dog Monster again." Damn these teeth! Even to your own ears your voice sounded deeper, different. Fortunately, Cory didn't seem to notice.
"Okay, come on Pooks,"Cory called, but Pooks stubbornly stayed where he was and whined. "Pooks! Come on!"
You move forward to push Pooks away when the light suddenly flicks on!
"It's so dark sissy I can't see-" For a moment Cory stands there his eyes wide and his mouth hanging, before he runs out of the room screaming! "MONSTER! Mommy! Daddy! The monster is trying to eat Pooks!" The quick thumping of his feet stop in the kitchen just as the phone rings. You hear your mother pick up the phone, it's the school! You know they're going to be up within the next few minutes.
Just as you're about to push Pooks out the door you notice that he's totally limp...your stomach turns as you take notice of the dried blood all over your shirt and hands... How? You nudged Pooks, but he remains still, you can barely hear his heart beat, and then whimpers one last time and his last breath can be heard. You cry out and push him out of you lap. What have I done?! You try to go over what could've happened, clearly the blood all over you wasn't from Pooks it was dry... you must've unknowingly pushed him too hard! Oh God, Cory! No!
You could feel tears welling up but the angry footsteps coming up the stairs send you flying around the room stuffing your essentials into your school bag, locking your door, and throwing the bedroom window open.
The doorknob jiggles. "Young Lady open the door immediately! Why weren't you in school today! What is Cory crying about? We've had enough of this behavior! We're no longer going to put up with you! Open this door now!"
You look down at the drop and hesitate. Even knowing that you had vampiric powers didn't erase twenty years of human laws of physics... after what just happened you weren't so sure you cared whether you live forever...it just didn't seem all that appealing anymore...
At the sound of keys from behind you realize that your parents about to unlock your door, and right then live or die you'd rather not be sitting in the window when they come in. You look around... ah, you can reach Honey, your sister's balcony without trouble...
