There he was cramming for another test! You hardly ever saw him doing anything else. You felt a little sorry for your best friend. But then he was the smartest person you'd ever known!
He peeks over your way when he thinks you aren't looking then goes back to studying. He truly was the sweetest guy too. Too bad he was just a friend. You've always wished to meet a guy just like him. But as fate would have it, your best friend turns out to be the perfect guy... only not your perfect guy. Oh you knew he liked you and that he didn't have a girlfriend... It was just that you didn't feel the same way about him. Even on a few occassions when you'd thought about the two of you as a couple it was just...well, weird. He was good looking...
You sigh and drop your book into the library slot. You were looking forward to the two hours of softball practice ahead of you and even more so the ice cream later! You were hoping to share a cone with your present romantic interest. Unfortunately, you're not sure if he felt the same.
You look to your best friend again and he quickly looks back to his books. Hmm... maybe your crush's sister might be interested. Besides then you could fix your friend up with a nice girl and get to see your man! What a plan, you couldn't wait! But wait, was it wrong? You knew that your friend liked you so would it hurt his feelings to ask him along?
Well at any rate you wanted to say hi! There was no harm in that! He looks up at you as you stop beside his table, a handsome smile spreading across his features...
