After listening to my youngest son ask repeatedly for a puppy and sidestepping the issue for a couple years...*LOL*...we made the decision to *give in*. I had several conversations with my vet and opted to go for a smaller dog. He gave me a few names of breeders in the general area. I had never "met" a Jack Russell before...It was love at fisrt sight. I mean how could I resist 4 lbs of black and white fur that gave me a quick lick on the hand and promptly climbed inside my jacket and went to sleep. These dogs do have a very high energy level and require lots of exercise. He will tirelessly chase a tennis ball as long as you have the strength to throw one..The bottom line is.....after having Jack, I don't think I would ever choose another breed.
