My Music

Music is a really important factor in my life. As an artist, I am always looking for some sort of inspiration, and a lot of woman musicians have supplied me with fuel for drawings. I want to list artists that I like here, and add in links to official pages whenever possible.

Now, I am very obviously a big Spice Girls fan. If you couldn't tell that upon entering this page, I really think that you should stop smoking crack. The very cheeky attitude that the girls have, combined with their energy and that touch of feminism, or Girl Power, always manage to give me a laugh. Their music, though not deep, I find to be really good. It's simple, granted, but I love that. It's always an upper to hear them singing on my way to work.

Bjork is another of my major influences. Small in body, cute, kickass and psychotic. How much more like me can you get? She's a lot deeper in meaning than the Spice Girls, and always seems to have a good time no matter where she is, and I really respect that. And not only is she a master of sound, but if you've ever seen her videos, her visual abilities are astounding!

Aqua is another great feel-good band. Okay, I'm not talking about music that will change the world, but the feel this music has can pick you up from a bad mood a lot of the time! Their energy, once again, is something that I repsect.

So I'm here talking about a lot of pop and real bubblegum music, and you must think that I am some sort of total air head. Well, I have to tell you that Tori Amos is also one of my favorite singers. Her music is just so awe-inspiring. Though this link is not an official homepage per say, it is the best I could find, at least as of yet. I wish I could re-create the feeling that I had in High School upon listening to her first solo album, Little Earthquakes. I really felt as if someone understood me, and it gave me great strength and comfort.
