So who is this Raven person?

I thought maybe I should tell you all a little bit about myself, so you get an idea of the blackbird who's responsible for this whole mess. Hee-hee

I'm called Raven Summersong or Raven Taylor by most and Sarah by the rest of the world. I like and answer to all three names.

I'm 23, female, and a graduate of Westfield State College, here in my native Massachusetts. I was an English major, and that's not easy because I'm also dyslexic. I love writing, theater, and Singing. I plan to be a writer, and write books on Wicca and the public awareness of the pagan movement. In the meantime, I'm a part-time counter girl at our local Staples. (Eh. It pays the bills.) and a part time Librarian in the near-by town of East Longmeadow. That job I love.

I've been a solitary practitioner for almost seven years now, but I was interested in alternitive religion even in highschool. I didn't know what a Wiccan was until I bought The Wiccan Spellbook (Dunwich) on a whim for two bucks. I figured it would be a good laugh. Instead, I found out I had a name for my religion.

I'm eclectic, and I love to learn about all the different cultures that came together to form my faith. I especially love the Greco-Roman, Celtic, and Native American aspects of my own Wiccan path. I'm sure you've guessed by now, my totem animal is Raven. I'm currently working on organizing Massachusetts Pagan Pride Day 2000 for September of this year! It's a lot of work, let me tell you! I also tour and lecture on Wicca locally.

One of my favorite films of all times is The Crow, mostly because I love how much passion and real heart is in the character of Eric Draven. The message of the film, love even after death, took on special meaning for me two years ago, when I lost my best friend to cancer. It helped me to understand my own feelings, and say goodbye, until we meet again in the Summerland.

I also have odd tastes in music. I love Tori Amos, and the Lillith fair girls especially. My tastes run from Enya to stone temple pilots to Jimmi Hendrix.

I also role-play. I was into Palladium and Rifts, but I got tired of the all male group I was in (great friends, boring gamers) Now I play White Wolf with an almost exclusively female party. I love it. For those who know the system, I'm a Child of Gaia (surprise surprise) I've only been on the RPG scene for about 3 years now.

On May 5, 2001 I was happily married (by a J.P in a civial service) to the man I love. The handfasting will be next summer, for various reasons. So I am now Mrs. Raven Summersong Wetherbe. :)

Okay, that's enough about me. I'm getting narcissistic. Enjoy my page, and please sign the guestbook or e-mail me. I'm always looking to improve.

May all the fates shine on you, and ice cream appear in your freezer just when you really need it.
