Cheryl Boyd e-mailed Christopher Sabec about this rumor and his reply was, We know all about Tracy. We were asked to do a favor for our photographer, Taylor Crothers. He is related to her somehow and has apologized to Triune and Hanson repeatedly for her bizarre behavior. She appears to have a real problem with reality. Her whole story is totally untrue: the ring, the friendship, even the picture is a fake on one sense -- Taylor did not want it taken at all and was forced to pose with her. Plus, I was standing there the ENTIRE time that Tracy was with Taylor. They spoke for like 30 seconds. During which time we were trying politely to get away from what obviously was an obsessed fan and her equally obsessed mother. In addition, in a very pushy and rude way, she pulled Taylor in for a forced hug so her mom could take a picture IN COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR THE FACT THAT TAYLOR ASKED HER NO TO TOUCH HIM AND I HAD ASKED HER REPEATEDLY NO TO TAKE ANY PICTURES...the smile on his face is more of embarrassment over her behavior than anything else. I then escorted both of them outside and let her mother know in no uncertain terms that she was no longer welcome backstage. Even with this blunt message, her mother continued to try to push past me and get back into the hanson private area. and the ring: she TRIED to give the ring to taylor and he would not accept it. I guess she kept it and has now created an elaborate fantasy of taylor giving her a ring. I WAS THERE AND IT DID NOT HAPPEN. Tracy or her mother are elcomed to call me and I would be happy to refresh their memory on the reality of their brief, awkward, and uncomfortable 'visit' backstage. They can hear it from the horses mouth that they will never again be welcomed backstage at a Hanson show and learn what the repercussions will be should they ever weasel their way back there. And, if Tracy wants to sue, then let her; but she will have to deal with facts, and the fact of this situation is that she has ZERO relationship with Taylor Hanson and is currently a 'persona non grata' in the hanson camp. She and her mother would also get a quick lesson in the definition of the personal tort of battery -- from a defendants perspective. I hope I cleared this up once and for all. IkeTayZac: We have heard a lot about that, which is funny because it never happened. We meet many people on tour and take pictures with as many as we can but we have never given a ring to anyone.
