This project was for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, NJ.  This is new revised online site for this prestigious insurance company. My team was mainly responsible for administering IPlanet Directory Server and WebSphere Application Server and deploying and maintaining various J2EE applications in development, staging and production environment. My team was also involved with supporting the system, both Internet and intranet sites and administering all the servers

 

Role:

·         Installed and administered Websphere application server 4.0 in Compaq DL 380 production boxes.

·         Installed and administered iPlanet directory server 5.1.

·         Responsible for installing Directory Smart and configuring single sign on.

·         Responsible for packaging J2EE applications and deploying it in WAS 4.0.

·         Responsible for maintaining WAS (WebSphere Application Server) 4.0.3 in staging and production boxes.

·         Responsible for fine-tuning WAS 4.0.3 and also monitoring the server.

This project is for Bank of America in Charlotte, NC.  This is new revised online portal for this prestigious bank.  My team was involved with personalization of web pages for an individual user in the authenticated workspace. Whenever a user logs into the site, the user will get ads, links, news, etc. according to the user’s preference and needs. 

 

Role:

·         Acted as Build Manager for the team and was responsible for deploying code and testing it.

·         Deployed code using Administrative console and wscp.

·         Wrote wscp scripts for starting, stopping WebSphere Application Server.

This J2EE project was done for IBM’s client, Cobank. This is an online website for the bank, where all the transactions can be done.  Cobank is a rural American bank. The end user, Cobank customers, can log in and do online transactions. This system is being protected by RSA ACE security. New cobank customers can be setup and they can be given permissions to do selected transactions like wiring money or transferring money to another account.  This project was built using extensive J2EE technology.

 

Role:

·         Responsible for analyzing UML design patterns using Rational Rose.

·         Installed and administered Websphere portal server in AIX test environment.

·         Involved in deploying the code in Websphere Application Server in USF, Boulder, CO

·         Involved with cloning and modeling of Websphere Application Server

·         Involved with updating AS/400 system and porting data to new website

The Home Page Creator enables the end client to host their own web pages and their catalogs on the Internet.  The end user can design his own web page using the drawing board applet. The user can upload his own files and put it in his web site. The data from the User was stored in a Queue that was then processed to create an XML document to store the client data.

·         Studied Netscape 6 security features for running signed applets.

·         Responsible for deploying application in unix environment.

Project description

 

The order management system automates the order processing business process. This is a business process-reengineering project aimed to improve the existing order processing by implementing a product based on Enterprise Java Beans specification. This system is composed of the following components: Order Entry, Inventory, Customer and Order Processing.

Role:

 

·         Implemented Order management user interface using JSP and Servlets.

·         Implemented Order Item and Order entity beans based on the container and bean managed transaction model respectively.

·         Produced deployment descriptor files with XML Spy editor.
