Vision Statement

 

The Allied Medical Science Department is envisioned to be a Center of academic excellence for maternal and child health programs in Bulacan and in Region 111. It proposes to provide quality education for the development of graduates who are Catholic-Augustinian in spirit and who can demonstrate professional competencies with moral ethics for the effective practice of health professions in a growing local and global community.

 

Mission Statement

 

To realize this Vision, the Allied Medical Science Department commits itself to:

 

1.         provide quality and competitive educational programs in the area of Nursing, Midwifery, Physical Therapy and other medical courses;

 

2.         develop linkages with the different health professional organizations and other health -agencies either in local, national and international level;

 

3.            produce, disseminate and utilize resources in MCH program;

 

4.         serve as a catalyst for developing community health and MCH programs in the areas of Bulacan and Region 111; and

 

5.         nurture the Augustinian values of enduring service, compassion, honesty in the practice of health the professions.

 

Goals

 

1.         To render quality and relevant medical/health education that subscribes to the belief that national identity, cultural consciousness, moral integrity, and spiritual values and vital components in the development of a competent and globally.

 

2.            Accepted health professional, in the area of Nursing, Midwifery, Physical Therapy and other medical courses; To provide relevant meaningful learning experiences based on the philosophy of service to the nation as well as to people in other parts of the world.

 

3.         To produce Nursing, Midwifery, Physical Therapy graduates who can demonstrate professional competencies, and are sensitive to the health needs of the individual, family and community.

 

4.         To develop scholarly habits among graduates pertinent to the promotion of competency in the practice of the health professions and the realization of the need for continuing educational and professional growth.

 

5.         To participate in research activities that will promote academic excellence, improve health services and contribute to community development.

 

6.         To create a healthy community that possesses basic mechanism to direct, support and maintain professional and spiritual well being.

 

7.             To contribute to the improvement and quality of health services either locally or globally.
