By loosening the structure of the presentation/activity, my peers begin to tell me what meaning they are making from the activity. Each sees the task differently from their various writing specialties. Brittany's group decides an "opinion article is in order. Elizabeth's group would rather throw the cards in the waste basket because their more trouble than their worth, but sticks with it. Catlin's group and their structure points to the premise that using Tinker Toys or Leggo's or both was definitely a possibility as an exercise in structuring an argument. This is because Catlin's group comes up with a T-structure indicating that they believe the first three paragraphs they are using should be one large paragraph and not three paragraphs.
Once again, the technology is used in a way the designer never intended.
