insured correctness of all shipments with applicable

specifications and DoD requirements for transfer of materiel to

military receiving stations worldwide.

Fabricated through carpentry, all MIL-SPEC Crates for large items

IAW military requirements, many of which were quite large,

utilizing methods outlined In both contract, and MIL-SPEC,

prepared large barrier bags, bar-coding and desiccation of items

IAW MIL-P-116, many items in excess of 1 ton, which also

required vacuum sealing IAW MIL-SPEC’s  for many fragile,

high-value items, (delicate electronic hardware, transformer, and

shipboard or submarine components, which needed very special care

in order to insure their safe delivery, worldwide.

Very familiar with all contractual clauses, and FAR/DFAR

Requirements, and special material specifications for materials used

in the fabrication of very large barrier bags, IAW MIL-STD-6060,

for smaller sizes MIL-B-117, and

(MIL-B-81705) or (MIL-B-22191) or other, for “foam-in-place”

using chemical mixing components to pack very large items of

supply. inside prepared MIL-SPEC Crates.

Using both contractual requirements, and, engineering drawings and

other data, provided sales dept. with packaging cost analysis for

each contract, in order that these costs incurred by contract from

DoD, could then be added to each contract as a separate line item,

researched materials used in MIL-SPEC Packaging methods, and

prepared purchasing requisitions reviews,

for needed materials to be used in all Marine Electric RPD

shipments, as per a manufacturing schedule set by both

operations and engineering departments, in a quarterly cycle, and

detailed on-demand shipment data for

tracking and financial purposes.

Full knowledge of detailed packaging requirements for shipment to

nuclear vessels and submarines, as well as clean room specific

procedures for special items, and contractual clauses that provide for

fire retardance of military freight where possible.

Worked in tandem with storeroom management personnel, for

assurance that any storage that required special attention, such as

shelf life data for all vulcanized or rubberized items, or for ESD

protected items (high frequency1,000 gigs+) etc,

were kept current and rotated (FIFO), for later use in manufacture of

items that would eventually be shipped to end users.

 

 

Attended Joint Military School of Packaging, Aberdeen MD,

received certificates for logistics and freight management, and

Packaging IAW/ MIL-SPECS, and studied procedures used by

military receiving stations for receipt of goods at those locations.

Shipped all goods via truck/ltl/ups/fedex/courier/postal/ocean/air, in

conformity with local, federal guidelines, and CFR regulations.

Received all inbound goods and insured that each shipment was in

tact, complete, and expedited to the proper internal receiving area

or storage area to facilitate the above mentioned manufacturing and

shipment schedules on time, per pre- determined schedules.

projects including Kaldor, Betsill Bros. and Great Walls,

and briefly on Koolawe’ off the west coast of Maui on the Navy’s

cleanup project (run by Parson’s-UXB) clearing the island of Naval

ordinance and debris, OSHA briefings and high safety must be

maintained on the project, and travel by helicopter to-from the

island twice a day, HAZMAT/HAZWOPER cert. were required.

Recently arrived back in New York in NOV , 2003, and am currently staying with family in Queens,

(after the death of both our parents last year, I decided to come back to New York) and be close to my Sister, and Brother-in Law, my Nieces, Nephew, and Brother. and not be so out-of reach anymore, due to the distance)
