QA department include those specific functions which :       

• identify quality measurement, corrective & reporting requirements.
• select appropriate measuring & gaging methods for product & training personnel to use these method.
• establish a quality reporting system that will monitor process yeids & quality costs.
• plan perform system and product audits for the purpose of improvements.

The assurance of quality can be viewed as all of the necessary personnel and activities which are intended to provided assurance that the quality of the product delivered to the customer will meet the customer's requirements.
