 | Load & configure OS |
 | Configure NFS (Network File System) to provide transparent access of
remote files to user applications within a UNIX-based network |
 | Configure DNS (Domain Name System) to translate symbolic names into IP
addresses |
 | Configure NIS (Network Information System) a database providing central
storage of user accounts & passwords |
 | Automate routine system backups |
 | Implementation

 | Test operation of server in a (closed) network environment |
 | Configure RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) to prevent loss of
mission-critical data* |
 | Install & demonstrate SAMBA (Session Message Block protocol)server
software to enable sharing of file systems and files with Windows* |
