    2. NIS(Name Information Services) is configured and running on Caligula.
    3. DNS(Domain Name System) has also been configured on Caligula. It uses Tiberius as the name server. Due to network configuration issues with SAIT's name servers, NS1 and NS2, a full pathname is required to resolve Caligula's IP address.
    4. NFS(Network File System) services have been setup. This was demonstratated to Craig using a linux box that was being served a read only file by Caligula.
  6. Upcoming activities: Network services
    1. Documentation and posting of network services implementation will take place. This item will be complete by early next week.
    2. Installation of Web services using Apache will be implemented
    3. Configuration of the hard drive array will commence upon gaining access to the server room.
  7. SCSI cable update
    1. Cables have been delivered however we are having a problem configuring the hardware. Access to the hardware is a concern as it is prolonging the resolution of this issue.

  8. Discussion of Web service implementation
    1. Craig approved installing web services and requested that it be Front Page compliant. Sean and Rich agreed to investigate this request. This course of action was agreed upon due to the request that was made by the team to drop RAID implementation.

  9. Request for comments
    1. Craig has commented that he is pleased with our progress and is pleasantly surprised with the results that the team has made configuring NFS and NIS. He encouraged the team to go forward and has emphasized the implementation of Web services.
