Mela's UI

This is a a simple write up of my interface and the plugins I use. This is a very simple UI, many others in the WoW community have put much more time in to their UIs, and thus have really beautiful displays. Using what was out there I went for a simple overhaul, no art at all.  This is just a simple functional lay out that caters to my needs.

You can view the list of AddOns I use via the available PDF file here.

If you want to keep your own list you can download the list of AddOns I use here (SHA1SUM 940a19d4ff571b8aa25e8917edca8b4a17ae6578).  Please be aware, I use a functional client side wiki to keep my addon notes, your browser will complain about active content or script functions when you open it.  Its based on TiddlyWiki if you want to check out the legitimacy of it.

I've also been asked about the script that I use to backup my UI to carry with me.  Information and downloads of my backup script can be found here.

Casting ScreenThis is a screen showing a channeled spell, it gives a decent introduction to the UI.

The button bars size and location is handled by Bartender3. Their shape and effects are handled by cyCircled. The cool downs displaying on the buttons is CoolDownCount.

The casting bar is eCastingBar. The target frames, including ToT and ToTT is ag_UnitFrames.

The gradient background below the rendered frame is by Skinner, Skinner also allowed me to move my rendered area (or playable area) up, leaving a section at the bottom just for plugins.

The minimap shape, size, and layout is simpleminimap.

My information panel at the top of the screen is FuBar and a bunch of Fu plugins.

Inventory ScreenThis is a simple shot of my mule at the bank. OneBag is responsible for my character's inventory, and OneBank is responsible for the bank's layout.

Battle ScreenThis screen is a battle sequence so you can see the UI in action.

On the right of my character you can see Natur's EnemyCastBar showing the time left on stunning and bleeding effects. On the left of my character you can see CooldownTimers2 counting down my abilities remaining cool downs. You can also see my buffs and debuffs have been replaced by bars, this is handled by EelkBuffBar.

My damage meter is SW_Stats, my combat log is by SimpleCombatLog.

The scrolling combat text is of course by Scrolling Combat Text, while I haven't done much with it yet, it supports a lot more options and is infinitely more customizable than the Blizz built in one. Changing the size, speed, font, etc is just the start.

Grouping Screen This is a screen of a group, you can see SmartDebuff has paged out for the group. You can also see the ag_UnitFrames group frames.  I've also selected the priest as my focus as I'm about to tank, the priest shows in the center of the screen above the button bars, directly below the cast bar.  TellCatcher is also minimized, and showing that I've got a new message. You can also see my mail indicator FuMail is showing 13 waiting messages.

Hope this helps explain a little what I'm doing when I'm playing with my plugins all the time, and maybe helps you get a better gaming experience if you're here to learn what people are using.
