Welcome to MirandaSoft!

On August 3, 1988, MCM Databases went into operation...  This computer business, started up by Marcos Miranda, was the result of operating a computer club in high school.  His friends had coerced him to start up his own business.  When MCM Databases opened up, building & selling XT computers was the best selling point.

In the summer of 1991, Mr. Miranda had decided that MCM Databases is no longer a proper name for his computer business.  After some tossing and turning, "Miranda Software" was chosen, however, Mr. Miranda just didn't like that name.  Well, to compete with a famous software vendor, he decided to rename his business to "MirandaSoft."  MirandaSoft became the official name in 1992.

International Services...  In 1992, Mr. Miranda had gone to Philippines for his 4th visit.  He had met Estelita Ong, a computer sales girl.  Miss Ong later became Mr. Miranda's girlfriend and Vice President of MirandaSoft.  MirandaSoft Philippines became a small computer business in Manila.  However, in December 1993, MirandaSoft International was named as the International office of MirandaSoft, and MirandaSoft Philippines became MSI Philippines.  MSI became the official acronym for MirandaSoft International.

In 1994, MirandaSoft became MirandaSoft Computer Services and was operating in Anchorage, Alaska USA.  Over 20 clients were established, making an official record.

In 1995, Mr. Miranda moved back to Seattle, Washington, and acquired 10 more clients.  However, business was very slow.

From August 1996 to September 1998, Mr. Miranda was working for Computer City, in Shoreline (North Seattle).  During this time, MirandaSoft was put on hold.

Then, in January 1999, MirandaSoft Computer Services was re-launched in the Seattle area.  Work orders were coming in, however, business was very slow.

In the Summer of 2000, MirandaSoft was proud to announce its 100th client.  However, the record was broken in 2001...  Totaling 325 clients.  About 90% of the clients are from Philippines, 7% from China, and 3% from Vietnam.

By December 2002, MirandaSoft maintained over 400 clients, in Washington State, California, and Oregon.  However, due to financial difficulties in Washington State, MirandaSoft had to refer 45% of it Seattle-based clients to its competitors.

As of March 2003, the MirandaSoft "giant" is much bigger than originally predicted.  Donations had kicked off MSI San Francisco!  MSI News, MirandaSoft's Official News team began operations in Las Angeles, California.  And MSI Security, MirandaSoft's computer security team, had opened up in San Diego, California.

Now, there is no doubt that MirandaSoft is alive.  Having a full clientele and lots of work, people often wonder where MirandaSoft will be next.

Who is MirandaSoft's target?  The Philippine Community!  Why?  Mr. Miranda, being part Filipino, knows that a Philippine person wants a bargain.  Well, MirandaSoft competitors rarely offer discounts or bargains.  For instance, a local computer superstore charges $75 per hour for computer labor...  MirandaSoft would charge $30 for the same labor, and the work is done, on-site!  This save the Philippine or Asian consume lots of money.
