***1/2
A Clockwork Orange was Stanley Kubrick's film after Dr. Strangelove. It is an intense
look into the human pysche. Alex is an intelligent yet violent and confused teenager who
roams the country side with his three other gang buddies raping, stealing, and terrorizing
others. After Alex is betrayed by his friends and turned into the state he is the subject
of experiments that try and his alter violent behavior. They make him repeatedly view killing,
lynching, and rape scenes repeatedly while listening to Beethoven's fifth symphony, Alex's
favorite choice of music. He is finally released into society again, finding himself the
prey, and society the predator.

A Clockwork Orange, not to sound cliche, is chilling. Kubrick has an inexplainable way of
displaying suuspense. See opening scene to understand what I am saying. Malcom MacDowell is
the perfect choice for the part. You get so into his character, you almost feel sorry for him.
Almost. If you are in any way into movies you want to see this. Leave the light on.
