Faculty Background
Faculty of business and economics was established
on November 2002 in parallel with the expansion of Universiti Pendidikan
Sultan Idris, in congruence with government aspiration to produce graduate
teachers in the field of management, accounting and economics in order
to fulfill the nation’s needs.
Mission:
1. To produce professional and outstanding graduate.
2. To enhance academic achievement in related field.
3. To construct excellencies in management, education and research.
4. To develop expertise and skills through research, consultancy,
collaboration and intellectual discourse.
5. To explore pedagogical knowledge and information technology continuously
with the intention of to increase learning and teaching effectiveness.
6. To create positive relationship with the community through social
services.
7. To fulfill the nation aspiration.
Objectives:
1. To produce graduate teachers that has been
embedded with long life learning mind-set.
2. To generate knowledgeable graduate in business and economics field.
3. To provide the nation with business and economics’ teachers
with high teaching and learning skills, in addition with professional
skill.
4. To enhance graduate understanding in the latest pedagogical aspects
hence, exploiting it in their teaching.
5. To increase the usage of IT as an effective tools in learning and
teaching activities.
