First Issue of Hack.exe News!
After making a remarkable comeback, Hack.exe is proud to present its members with this bright new newsletter. The format is simple, and very
very basic. Why? So you dont get confused or somthing. User friendly perhaps. Hack.exe began back in Januarary of 2002. The original
founders were Glitch and KevinX. Many people joined shortly after the channels opening, and without spamming or mass invites, the channel
grew to 10 users within the first hour. By the end of the day, there were already 20 AOP's and 5 SOP's. The channel grew for most of that
year, and smashed through attempted takeovers and all sorts of floods. The channel reached its highest point in late summer 2002. However,
Glitch handed the channel over to MCJedi, when Glitch realized he would be online no more.
The Channel aparently died upon Glitch's departure, for what ever the reasons may be, the channel is slowly becoming its old self again.
Glitch has returned to IRC, and the channel now continues to grow. Though it does not grow as fast as it used to, hack.exe and its members
remain strong.
So What Now?
The next move for Hack.exe is going to be a big one. As some of you may be aware, the members located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, (Glitch, NeonLightning,
Dark^Lords, dreaded) And a few more, are pooling some money together. The money collected will purchase Hack.exe a domain name (a .com)
as well as a Shell account wich will be used to host the web site, and to offer BNC Access to certain users. (The hack.exe founders group).... If
you wish to be considered for the Founders Group, you must be in the channel as often as possible, (not just idling, but be active) and you
need to be helpfull ect.
The purchase of the domain and the shell account will be made somtime later this week. Though Hack.exe will have its site and shell setup and
running by Next Friday.
Some of you older members might remember the last time we had a shell account. This is not going to be like that, that shell was carded and was
closed accordingly. However the one we are going to purchase will be legitmate. Current members are going to witness the phenominal growth
of Hack.exe like never before. (A dot com enterprise? well see. Stick around :D ).
Whats Up With Dalnet?
Hack.exe is located on irc.dal.net, wich as nearly everyone is aware has been suffering some Denial Of Service Attacks. Hack.exe is completely
against any such attacks, and some members are working with DALNET to locate and put an end to the users responsible for these malacious
and utterly lame attacks. Some current working servers wich you may use to connect to dalnet are:
animals.dal.net
misc-e.dal.net
kernel-c.dal.net
jade.va.us.dal.net
If you have any information wich may lead to the halt of these lamers who are attacking DALNET, you are encouraged to visit DALNET's kline/exploit
team and let them know. You can reach DALNET's kline team here: http://kline.dal.net/exploits/info.htm
Is This all thats in the newsletter?
For now, this is all there is. However, once we have our domain setup, there will be much more in the newsletter. Some future goals
are to include such things as a "scripters corner" wich will attempt to teach you new tricks for mIRC scripting, as well as a "coders corner"
for those who like to reach beyond mIRC scripting into the realm of programming. We will feature more information about the internet,
and *nix help and support, as well as internet security information. However, because we are not completely setup yet, and this is the first
and currently the only Hack.exe Newsletter, then what you see here is all that is here. Just stay tuned for new Issues. The newsletter will
