THIS IS WHY GRAMMAR IS USELESS AT THIS LEVEL WE HAD BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH ABOUT THIS THEME AND WE FOUND OUT THAT TEACHING GRAMMAR ISN'T NECESSARY TO LEARN ENGLISH IN FACT SOMETIMES CAN AFFECT OR INTERRUPT PEOPLE FROM LEARNING IT. IT HAS BEEN PROVED THAT PEOPLE WHO LEARN ENGLISH WITH GRAMMAR RULES AREN'T AS FLUENT AS PEOPLE WHO HAS LEARNED ENGLISH IN OTHER WAY BECAUSE WHEN WE LEARN GRAMMAR RULES WE TRY TO FOLLOW THEM EXACTLY AS THEY GO AND THAT MAKES US LESS FLUENT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO THINK FIRST HOW TO SAY THINGS, AND LEARNING IN A DIFFERENT WAY LIKE LISTENING MUSIC OR WATCHING MOVIES MAKES YOU FEEL MORE FAMILIAR WITH THE LANGUAGE AND MAKES YOU MORE SECURE ABOUT HOW TO SAY THINGS WITHOUT THINKING WHETHER THEY COULD BE WRONG OR RIGHT AND THAT MAKES YOU MORE FLUENTLY. BUT HOW CAN WE PROVE YOU THAT WHAT WE ARE SAYING HERE IS REAL? WELL; WE FOUND OUT SOME RESEARCHERS WRITTEN BY BARDOVI-HARLIG, KRASHEN AND ELLIS WHICH WE'LL SHOW YOU AFTER IN THIS PAGE. NOT LONG AGO, IT WAS THOUGHT THAT FORMAL GRAMMAR INSTRUCTION WAS THE ONLY MEANS OF DEVELOPING SECOND LANGUAGE COMPETENCE. THERE ARE SOME DIFFERENT WAYS TO LEARN IT, AS WE SAID IT BEFORE YOU CAN LEARN ENGLISH BY LISTENING MUSIC, WATCHING MOVIES OR TV PROGRAMS, PLAYING GAMES WERE YOU LEARN DIFFERENT WORDS THAT CAN BE NEW FOR YOU AND ALL THIS CAN BE IN A FUNNY WAY THAT MAKES YOU GET INTERESTED ABOUT LEARNING ENGLISH BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN PROVED THAT TEACHING GRAMMAR IS BORING FOR STUDENTS AND THEY LOOSE THE INTEREST OF LEARNING IT, ALSO BECAUSE WHEN WE ARE LITTLE WE LEARN IT BECAUSE WE ARE FORCED TO, AND AS IT IS SHOWN IN THE FILTER MONITOR, WHEN YOU FORCE A CHILD TO DO SOMETHING HIS FILTER GOES VERY HIGH AND THAT IS AN BARRIER FOR HIM. ANOTHER THING THAT IS PROVED THAT IT IS USED IN GRAMMAR LESSONS IS THAT TEACHERS ARE USED TO CORRECT THE STUDENTS WHEN THEY SAY SOMETHING WRONG, BUT TEACHERS AREN´T AWARE TO MAKE STUDENTS FEEL BAD ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE, AND THAT LIMITS THEM, SO THE NEXT TIME THEY WANT TO TALK THEY WILL BE AFRAID TO SPEAK BECAUSE THEY DON´T WANT THE TEACHERS TO CORRECT THEM, AS KRASHEN SAID “ERROR CORRECTION IS A GREAT MISTAKE”. HE ARGUES THAT IT PUTS STUDENTS ON DEFENSIVE AND ENCOURAGES THEN TO AVOID USING DIFFICULT CONSTRUCTIONS FOR FEAR OF MAKING MISTAKES. ALSO IT MAY DISRUT THE FOCUS ON COMMUNICATION. HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH THE ZERO OPTION PROHIBITS OVER CORECTION, IT DOES TOLERATE INCIDENTAL FEEDBACK OF THE KIND FOUND IN CARETAKER TALK TO YOUNG CHILDREN”. (KRASHEN, 1982; AS CITED IN ELLIS, 1997). PEOPLE HAS GIVEN UP LEARNING ENGLISH BECAUSE THEY FOUND REALLY HARD TO LEARN ALL THE GRAMMAR RULES BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY HAD THE PRESURE OF THE TEACHERS AND THAT’S ALSO A LIMIT FOR THEM, BUT WHAT THEY DON’T KNOW IS THAT THEY CAN ALSO LEARN IT BY THEIR SELFS LISTENING TO MUSIC, WACHING PROGRAMS, ETC, WHICH WILL HELP THEM WITHOUT IMAGING IT, AND THEY STAR TO GET USED TO IT WHICH HELPS TO LEARN IT, FOR EXAMPLE AS WE ALL KNOW, EVERYONE LIKES TO LEARN THE SONGS THEY LIKE SO THEY CAN SING IT AND THAT IS A WAY OF LEARNING BECAUSE YOU LEARN NEW WORDS AND PHRASES AND YOUY LEARN HOW TO SAY IT CORRECTLY, AND THERE IS NO PRESSURE AT ALL, AND THAT IS BECAUSE YOU ENJOY THAT.. WE SUPPORTED OUR POINT OF VIEW WITH THE FRASE THE FRASE THAT ELLIS SAID: “GRAMMAR INSTRUCTION SHOULD BE ABANDONED IN FAVOUR OF CREATING OPORTUNITIES FOR NATURAL LANGUAGE USE OF THE KIND FOUND IN UNTUTORED SETTINGS…” (ELLIS, 1997). THERE ARE ALSO DIFFERENT FORMS OR WAYS TO LESARN ENGLISH, ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS THAT YOU CAN GO FOR A YEAR O FOR THE TIME YOU WANT TO, TO THE UNITED STATES OR SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU CAN STUDIE THERE, BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW THAT IF YOU GO YOU WONT LEARN GRAMMATICAL RULES BECAUSE YOU´RE GOING TO STUDY WITH THE PEOPLE WHO LIVES THERE AND THEY DON´T NEED THOSE KIND OF CLASES, IN FACT YOU WILL LEAR ENGLISH BECAUSE YOU WILL TAKE NORMAL CLASSES LIKE THE OTHER GUYS AND YOU WILL HAVE TO TALK TO THEM SO YOU GET USE TO IT, THIS IS A VERY EFICIENT WAY OF LEARNING IT WHER IT SHOWS US THAT GRAMMAR IS USEFULL TO LEARN ENGLISH. FINALLY WE JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS OF LEARNING ENGLISH WHICH WILL BE USEFULL AND YOU CAN CHOOSE THE ONE THAT BEST FITS FOR YOU AND THAT IS HOW YOU ARE GOING TO LEARN BETTER, JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT GRAMMAR ISN´T THE ONY WAY TO LEARN IT AND THAT IT HAS BEEN PROVED THAT IN SOMEWAYS CAN AFFECT YOU WHILE YOU´RE LEARNING IT.
