[Date: April Fools Day] [Location: Okura Forest, Long Bay Marine Reserve] [Elation: Nice Scenary] [Deflation: Long Boring Journey]

OKURA FOREST RESERVE
The bus left school at about 9am...It was a rather long and boring journey...and I'm still wondering why my Discman wasn't working... We arrived at the destination at about 9.35 am....the two bus loads were divided into 8 different groups..I was in Group 8...we started off with Task 3-Line Transects...we collected samples of different species from 3 points on a 25m line transect....It wasn't fun as we had to carefully climb down the slope...it was slippery too...next we had to identify different plants in the different layers like the canopy, subcanopy...etc..That was really boring to me...but snapping photos was fun..especially when we got to the Bridge...the Mud creatures were funny...and the rod-like plants too..and then it was time to leave for Long Bay..

LONG BAY
Long Bay....hmm...to me it looked exactly like Eastern Beach...sand, sea shells, weird smell, rock pools...anyway..it was a great place...nice scenary and the beach was very long indeed..for a start we went to the information centre...unfortunately i forgot to take a photo of that place....after that it was lunch time....then we had to collect sea shells and draw them and also record the population of the Tua Tua...Finally, we collected more information from the South Rock Pools which was a bit of fun...the landscape was awesome....but damn it was hot...at 2.30pm we were off....back to school...an end to a boring yet fun day...
