Chapter 5 – Could she be, the most beautiful girl in the world?

She was born a Goddess. Granddaughter of the almighty Zeus. Daughter of the one and only Sephiroth. The most beautiful girl in the world. Some called her Venus. Some called her Sweet-Mama-She’s-A-Hottie!. She could be an angel. A loveable human. And when she was in a good mood, she went by the name Angelina. She was no human though. She founded Hell. If there could be a Heaven where all the Gods resided, which helped them to maintain control over religion and faith, there should be a place which humans would fear. Fear was a better method of control than faith. Sure she was idolized. She was the most beautiful deity ever to exist. She symbolized love and passion. But she wasn’t a strong symbol. She wasn’t the God of War. She wasn’t Athena. Sephiroth wanted her to be above everybody else. And being the daughter of Sephiroth wouldn’t help at all. She had to be the daughter of the master himself, so they faked it. She said she was the daughter of Zeus and they believed her. Zeus had so many sons and daughters. No one kept count. No one asked questions, like who was the mother? Zeus himself was too busy to care if it was true or not. Eventually the fake children of Zeus fail in Heaven. So it was not a real problem. The cheats when discovered had the discouraging sentence of : death. But she wasn’t afraid of consequences. There was a foolproof backup plan : her real daddy. But Sephiroth knew that the plan had to have more backbones. So therein came Angel. Sephiroth could sense raw power. He knew instantly that she had potential. He didn’t know exactly how her powers would grow and into what, but he knew she might be a potential threat to his daughter. Angel was the daughter of a human and Zeus. Her mother died shortly after giving birth to her. Zeus didn’t even know she existed. So, Angel became her sister. Her younger sister. They grew up together in Heaven. Angel was as true as her name. But Angel had a sister. An older sister, a commanding sister, an influential sister. But more importantly, Angel loved her sister. Angel never met Sephiroth before the whole adventure began. In the later years, when they both became fine young women, Angel spent less time in Heaven and more time on earth. Angel lived with an old couple and considered them as her parents. Sephiroth’s daughter on the other hand was a mystery. No one knew where she was most of the time. Nillen Eagle later came to know the truth. All of it. She created a demonic realm which she called Hell. The place became a nesting ground for demons and demonic creatures. So to counter the rare good times when she was Angelina, she was the King of Hell. She was Belzebuth, a huge red demonic monster with the power of a thousand men. She was a lonely person. She hated Heaven. Even when she was in Heaven with Angel, she never felt at home. She didn’t like the sons and daughters of Zeus, except for her sister. She even disliked Zeus himself. The Gods never understood Hell. They thought it was actually a real place where the dead went to. Only she and Sephiroth knew. Humans feared Hell. Her power grew. But Sephiroth sensed more obstacles in her path : a human and the son of an alien. Niven Tornado and Nillen Eagle. She had to stop them before they understood their power. She never thought she would fall in love with Nillen. The world was perhaps not meant to be conquered. Life was perhaps meant to be enjoyed with loved ones. After all she symbolized love. Her name was Aphrodite.

Aphrodite stared at the door in front of her. It was the door of her house. She was inside the house. But at the same time it felt like she was outside the house. No, no, she was definitely wrong. She was still inside the house and the person outside was not her. But it wasn’t Nillen either. So it didn’t really matter. Then she came to her senses. She regained control of herself. She realized that she just underwent a period where she had lost a lot of her power. What was wrong with her? But at the same time, she felt a little better. The person outside was her second love, Angel. She smiled and opened the door to see the most innocent person on earth. Well Angel was not that innocent. But compared to the rest of the world, she was, well, an angel.

“SISTER!” Angel cried as she rushed towards Aphrodite and hugged her.

“Little sis, you came?” Aphrodite felt a wave of joy inside of her.

“Of course I came. I so much wanted to see you again.”

“Come inside. Make yourself at home,” Aphrodite showed her to the living room and they sat down.

She snapped her fingers and two cups of tea magically appeared before them.

“Thank you… So where is Prince Charming?” Angel asked enthusiastically but then saw her sister’s face fall. “What…what is wrong?”

“He…he’s gone.” And she started crying. Angel had never seen her cry. Even when they were kids, Aphrodite would use anger to counter her sadness.

“GONE! How can he be gone? He’s gone where?”

Aphrodite then regained her composure. She had to control herself.

“I don’t know and that’s what worries me. Something must have happened to him. Else I would be able to locate him.”

“Maybe he went far away.” She didn’t want to think about the other possibility.

“That’s my only hope. That’s why I didn’t leave the house. And didn’t go looking for him.”

Angel understood. If Aphrodite had searched the world for Nillen, she might found out that he didn’t exist anymore too soon. Angel didn’t know what to say. She didn’t know what to do. She hugged her sister and wept silently.
