| Convergence Software Corporation, Santa Ana, California, was a startup software company. The product was primarily a Linux 2.2 CDROM based firewall, router, and IPSEC vpn. It also provided a minimal web and mail environment. Consisting of Sqlite database, Apache webserver, and PHP web scripting language, and, of course CGI based Perl. The system is an unmanaged, no install system, that fully integrates with Microsoft Windows. All data, web pages, databases, are stored on Windows Shares. This made it trivial to publish web pages. Drag-N-Drop into a Windows share and it was published. System backup was also stored on a Windows Share as a simple zip file. It ran on a simple "white box PC with NO hardrive, only a bootable CDROM, floppy, and two network cards. This product was created by the efforts myself and Philip Cheung |
