| This is the Purple SeaMaid from
the Pecos River, east of Santa Fe. She is only seen on rare
occasions, and only when Venus is visible in the night sky. We
are fortunate that the famous and brilliant artist, John Tollett, was
able to capture her lovely image in colored chalk. In his spare
time, Tollett searches for mermaids and has managed to record
likenesses of many rare varieties. |
This Tiny Coral Mermaid is
another rare find by John Tollett. This feisty little creature
was hidden away for many years and only recently rediscovered.
Tollett has since been taking excellent care that she doesn't get
frightened and go into hiding again. |
