A Brief intro to Anime
Anime is a cartoon, a cartoon like any other save for the fact that it is usually japanese. Wrong. The preceding is what most people think about anime. Anime is a cartoon, yes, but it differs in the content and the drawing style, not to mention the interested audience. A huge fan of Bugs Bunnyish cartoons probably would not like Evangelion. It takes a certain kind of viewpoint to like anime. Anime was concieved in America, then transported to Japan. My Anime

I am a fan of most kinds of anime, and I watch as much as I possibly can. I went so far as to befriend some of the employees at the local Blockbuster so that they let me get my hands on the newest anime before they put it on the shelvs! I suppose that would make me an Otaku, but thats not for me to decide. My first anime love was Gundam. I found it on Toonami (go figure) during elementary school, and have continued watching ever since. The list of anime that I have seen is imense, so I'll just highlight some of the more mainstream ones: Neon Genesis Evangelion (duh), Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam, Outlaw Star, 08th MS Team, Gundam 0083, Gundam 0080, Endless Waltz, Blue Sub 6, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Inuyasha, Gundam X, Full Metal Panic, Vandread, Akira, The Harlok Saga, Zone of the Enders, Gunsmith Cats, Cowboy Bebop, Bubblegum Crisis, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Bubblegum Crash, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Lupon the 3rd, Rah Xephon, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Gigantor, Metropolis, Escaflowne
