Scene Summary

This scene is Shinji Ikari piloting Evangelion Unit 01 in battle agains one of the angels Angel. Shinji is a new pilot and has no clue what he is up agains, or how to operate the giant robot whose belly he now sits in.

Each Angel evolves from its predecessor, making itself better and trying out new strategies. The forms that the Angels take range from a giant floating space bomb monster, to an acid spitting spider, to a microscopic supercomputer!

Research: The Angels are the main foes from Neon Genesis Evangelion. They are supposed to be the various humanities the could have been. They are fighting for their place in the world. In other words, they are trying to take our place for themselvs! In the Christain religion, Angels are actually the attendants of God. His heralds, and doers of deeds, they carry out his bidding.
