Meghan's World of Horses





The Peruvian Paso.



The Peruvian Paso is a horse from Peru (obviously) and is one of the nicest horses in the world. It's gentle dispostion makes it a great horse for everybody. I have a Peruvian Pasos. The Arabian Horse.



The Arabian horse is probably one of the oldest horse breeds in the world. Almost every single breed of horse can trace back to the Arabian. The Arabian is a majestic and sleek horse. The Arabian is a very diverse horse. The Arabian can be used in many different horse sports and can be used also as a beautiful show horse. The Lipizzaner.



The Lipizzaner is mainly used for dressage. Dressage is a sport that takes practice, patience, and a lot of effort. During dressage tournaments, judges want a sound, flawless performance between horse and rider. The Lipizzaner was breed to do exactly that. The Lipizzaner is most commonly found white. When a Lipizzaner is born, it is always a dark color. Gradually the horse's coat turns pure white. It usually takes 4-10 years for it to turn completely white. The Clydesdale.



The Clydesdale is one of the biggest horse's in the world!!!!!!!!!! The Clydesdale is a draft horse and works on farms to pull plows. The Clydesdale is also used for pulling big carriages during special events. Although the Clydesdale can be up to 21hh, it is a very gentle horse. Other draft horses such as the Percheron (from France) have the same disposition as the Clydesdale and both are used for the same heavy duty work on a farm. The Mustang.



The Mustang is probably the most well known horse in the world. The Mustang comes in all different kinds of colors. It can come in brown, black, blue roan, and even two colors on their coat. The Mustangs were brought in 1492 from Columbus. They were sleek, beautiful, and hardy. They were bred in the dessert so they could withstand any type of terrain. When the Spanish had brought them to the middle of our continent the Indians pretty much worshiped the horse. The Spanish gave the horses to the Indians. The Andalusian.



The Andalusian horse is a muscular and beautiful horse. the Andalusian is typically 15 to 16.2hh. If you have ever seen the horse Cavalia Andalusians are used in that show too. They have a nice broad forehead and they have large dark eyes and medium ears. Andalusians are very responsive and most riders seem to have a very comfortable ride.
