Important note:

- You will need a compression program called WinZip. You can get it from www.winzip.com	.
- For Comp228 all you need is masm611.zip. The other files are completely optional. 
  I included them for the advance Assmebly user who usually like to have more ;)

Installation:

Unzip Masm611.zip to a folder of your choice. You will see 5 folders named, Disks 1,2,3,4,5. 
go in \Disk1 and double-click on setup.exe, then follow the instruction. when done, 
you'll need to edit you'r autoexe.bat file on your C:\ drive. copy and paste the following 
into your autoexe.bat file:

SET PATH=C:\MASM611\BIN;C:\MASM611\BINR;%PATH%
SET LIB=C:\MASM611\LIB;%LIB%
SET INCLUDE=C:\MASM611\INCLUDE;%INCLUDE%
SET INIT=C:\MASM611\INIT
SET HELPFILES=C:\MASM611\HELP\*.HLP
SET TMP=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP 

that's it , then go to the folder you have installed Masm in, by default it's c:\Masm611\,
 then go in c:\masm611\bin or \binr and double-click PWB.exe to use Masm.

Masm 6.11d - 6.15 Patch: (optional)

     1. Make backup copies of the files affected by the patch.  These 
        files are all in the MASM bin directory (for example, 
        C:\MASM611\BIN).  The following files will be affected:

        ML.EXE
        ML.ERR
        H2INC.EXE
        H2INC.ERR
        WIN.INC

     2. Change to your MASM 6.11 root directory.  For example:

        C:
        CD \MASM611

     3. Copy the patch files to your MASM 6.11 root directory.  
        The patch files are:

        PATCH.EXE
        PATCH.RTD
        PATCH.RTP

     4. Run the patch program by typing:

        PATCH

        The patch program indicates its actions as it runs.  When the 
        patch has been successfully completed, you can delete the patch 
        files.

     5. Copy H2INC.EXE and H2INC.ERR from the patch diskette to your 
        \masm611\bin directory. 

     6. Copy WIN.INC from the patch diskette to your \masm611\include
        directory.
