Lindir's Poems:

Dawn
The sky begins to brighten
As the sun begins to heighten.
When sunrays peek up over the hill,
The sight invites me to come, if I will.
The birds chirp and the grass wet with dew,
As another day is begun anew.
The sun shines through the trees,
As I joyfully pray on my knees.
I thank the Lord for the dawn,
As a deer appears with its fawn.
The squirrels run and play over all,
Leaping from the trees so tall.
With their little voices they chatter,
And drop nuts with a patter.
From atop their towers,
They watch over the flowers.
The little butterflies flutter in the air,
And fly with nary a care.
Sunrises very lovely are,
Beauty from afar.

Lightning Bugs
Lightning bugs so bright and small,
Fly among the dark trees so tall.
Winking their lights here and there,
As they glimmer through the air.

Each carrying his little lamp,
As they flit across the grass damp.
To find themselves a beautiful wife,
And enjoy their happy little life.
