    The Five Basic Rules of Fire Safety


  1. Smoke Detectors-One Should be on every floor of your house and should be checked regularly.
  2. CO Detectors- Carbon Monoxide detectors should be in every home and checked on a regular basis.
  3. Practice E.D.I.T.H - Exit Drills In The Home.  Always know the best and safest way to get out of your home if there every is a fire.
  4. Stop-Drop and Roll- If your clothes catch on fire
  5. Call 911 or your local Emergency numbers for immediately.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency or (FEMA) as it is known by most people, is a Federal Government agency whose  mission is to reduce life and economic losses due to fire and related emergencies, through leadership, advocacy, coordination and support.  They serve the Nation independently, in coordination with other Federal agencies, and in partnership with fire protection and emergency service communities.
