"The" oldest continuous active volunteer fire company in the USA is the David Crockett Fire Company in Gretna, Louisiana. Engine C-4 is over thirty years old and is still a firstline piece with the David Crockett Fire Company.

Delta (PA)- Cardiff (MD) Fire Company has a very nice assortment of equipment with a variety of paint schemes. Engine 57-3 is a 1996 Seagrave pumper and twin to 57-4 another Seagrave. You guys might want to check out the New Jersey page for Deptford FD's equipment, they have a very similar paint scheme. By the way Delta-Cardiff serves both PA and MD and are located near the stateline in PA.

Eddystone Fire Company located just south of Philly has some pretty nice equipment and are especially famous for their river rescue equipment including a 40+ foot boat that looks almost like a PT boat. This is probably their oldest active piece, a Hahn pumper.

Eddystone Fire Company's newest piece is this KME pumper. Now were are my notes for the years?

Singerly Volunteer Fire Company is located in Elkton, MD near the Delaware and Pennsylvania statelines. This is just one of their beautiful pieces they operate. Its a 2000 HME pumper and note that this pumper has the rare "curb-side" controls for the operator.

Not very many miles on this 1999 Pierce/International pumper belonging to Enoree, SC.

This "is" one of the sharpest pumpers I have come across in Bird In Hand, PA and it belongs to the Hand In Hand Fire Company. This 2000 Pierce is spotless and features a fully enclosed pump control station located midship on the rig. This is the first I have ever seen enclosed like this.

This very sharp 1997 Pierce Lance belongs to the Harrington (DE) Volunteer Fire Company. Note the red roof verses all white.

I not exactly sure if this is a combination pumper rescue or not. Don't know the date or make either since I shot Indian River, Delaware's new truck in the Wilmington, DE parade a couple of weeks ago.

This 2000 Pierce Dash is one of two new pieces found at Station 17 in Irmo, South Carolina. E-1 is a classie engine any department would be proud to operate. Note the calvary flag on the rear door. Irmo is located just outside of Columbia, SC.

A Grummen experimental is found at Irmo, South Carolina at Station 17. This 1986 Grummen has the controls placed at the rear side of the apparatus. I have only seen this configuration on one other engine, so it's pretty rare I would say.

Located towards the northwest portion of South Carolina, Joanna just placed this 2001 Central States Fire Apparatus pumper in service. Decked out in gold Scotchlite tiger stripes outlined in purple is this 2002 Ferrera Inferno operated by the Louisiana State University Fire and Emergency Training Institute (LSUFETI) located near the Baton Rouge, LA campus. In case you didn't know it, purple and gold are LSU colors.

This rear view is equally as sharp of the 2002 Ferrara Inferno. Many thanks to Jeff Hildreth with the LSU FETI and Chris Martin with Ferrara Apparatus in Holden, LA for making these shots possible. Now the next engine should be painted orange with black Scotchlite striping.

A very attractive paint scheme highlited by all the chrome makes this 1997 Southern Coach pumper really sharp. Lugoff, SC fire department is the proud owner of this pumper. Southern Coach is a new equipment company formed by a former employee of E-One.

This has got to be a pain to keep clean when going down the highway. This 1993 International with a 4-Guys body mini-pumper belongs to Millsboro Fire Company at Station 83 in Sussex county Delaware and is the first mini-pumper I have seen like this one. This crewcab can get into the tight places where a regular pumper can't.
